Today, I attended a focus group. Since I've been unemployed for a month now I thought the $60 would come in handy. By the time I finished someone had broken into my car, stole my GPS and MP3 player. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I got a well paying job that requires me to drive around and present a product to potential customers. After going out for a victory meal with friends, I came home to find my car broken into, and my GPS stolen. I need it for the job. FML
Today, I was volunteering at a soup kitchen and was advised to leave my wallet and cell phone in my car so they wouldn’t be stolen. Someone broke into my car and stole them. FML
Today, my car was broken into, on the same night I stayed up late researching how to install my new car alarm. FML
Today, I was pointing out my car to my roommate. He responded with, "Oh that one with the broken window?" Turns out my car had been broken into. They took my CD player, GPS and Ipod. On top of that they left a Reese's Fastbreak wrapper and sunflower seeds on my front seat. FML
Today, I woke up to the sound of my car being stolen. FML
Today, I finally got enough money to buy the car I wanted for a year now. It was stolen today too. I had my car for 4 hours. FML
Oddly specific thief
Today, my car was broken into. What was stolen? My steering wheel. FML
Today, I got a new CD player for my car and an alarm installed for added security. After work, I saw my windows smashed, the CD player gone, the alarm wires cut, and a note that said, "Try again." FML
Loot
Today, my car got broken into. A small folded plastic bag and a few toothpicks I got from a restaurant were stolen. It's going to cost me a few hundred bucks to fix and clean my car over a 10 cent bag and a few free toothpicks. FML
iPod Classic, 7th Gen, 160 Go, the best ever
Today, after a long workout I come back to my locker, to find my lock had been cut. I looked inside realizing my phone and iPod had been stolen. If that wasn't bad enough, my keys were gone. I ran out to the parking lot to find an empty spot where my car had once been parked. FML

YDI for keeping those visible.

I actually agree with number one. Put that shit in your glove compartment or under your seat. It is common sense.

Uh, yeah, I know you want the world to know how cool you are, but leaving that shit in the car only means someone is going to go, "oooh shiny" and steal it.

I always hide my mp3 player and I don't even have a GPS, keep those away and lock your car! I'm sure someone must have seen a break in unless you left it unlocked and they looked like they owned the car. Or depends where it was parked... Next time think a little... I'd go crazy without my mp3 player or some form of music... Sucks to be you... I'm putting both YDI and FYL... Where I live a chance of that happening is slim, most people don't even lock their cars how safe they feel... :S

so no only cant you get a job, you are so stupid as to leave expensive electronics in your car visible to passers by. YDI

YDI. if you need money you should have sold the GPS

Some people need a GPS to get their way around. Either if they're new drivers, have bad sense of direction, are travelers, or a combination of the above. Why tell them to sell the GPS instead of the MP3?

What did you think would happen? I always take my ipod with me in my purse when I exit my car. I don't even leave it in the glove compartment, it stays with me at all times.

ooo that sucks but sometimes shit happens I'm not gonna say ydi cause I kno sometimes I forget to put my gps n iPod out if sight. it happens especially of I'm running late for sone thing I mean the iPod and gps don't really cross your mind when your cutting it thin on time. everyone has those days so just suck it up, look for a job, and then re- buy the gps n mp3
