Today, I told my boyfriend of nine months that depression runs in my family and I think the reason I've been flipping shit so much lately may be that I am depressed. Not five minutes later he decided a break would be "the best thing for us right now." FML
Today, my boyfriend of 3 years dumped me. I was really depressed, so a couple of my friends came over to take me out to a club to cheer me up. My ex was there, partying with his friends. He came up to me and my friends, and asked my friend if she wanted to hang out sometime. She said yes. FML
Today, I was diagnosed with depression. My girlfriend's idea of consoling me was to break up with me because she can't date a "psycho". FML
Today, I told to my girlfriend of 5 years that I'm depressed about having no friends, no job and a difficult family life. I told her that she's the one constant that keeps me going. She decided this was a good time to break up with me to "find" herself, since I was being so mopey. FML
Today, I had a mental breakdown. Many things have been going completely wrong in my life, and I finally decided to let my boyfriend know about it. After about an hour of explaining and pouring my heart out, his response was, "I think we were better off as friends." FML
Today, I was dumped. My boyfriend was too afraid to break up with me, so he sent the girl he cheated on me with. FML
Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I had only been dating him for about a month. Thinking he wouldn't take it very hard, I invited him over so I could tell him in person. Little did I know he was going to start crying on my couch and not leave for 5 hours. FML
Today, I told my boyfriend that I loved him. Being dumped wasn't the reaction I was expecting. FML
Today, my boyfriend of the last 2 years, who is suicidal and heavily depressed, left me because he thinks I "deserve better". Not to mention I was his best friend, therapist, mother and girlfriend all in one. He left me with rent due in a week and all other expenses because he couldn’t take care of me in return. FML
Today, I finally told my boyfriend that I’ve been dealing with depression, and apologized for my bad moods. I wrote him three kinda long-story-short messages telling him why. His response? “It’s alright” and continued playing Raft. I expected something more… empathic? Am I selfish? FML

Did he dump you because of the depression? Or because he was going to anyway? The former is a douche move and be glad to be rid of him. However if it's the latter he might well be going to support you through it as a friend, I can see why he might not want to prolong the relationship for such reasons but might find other ways to support you.

this is not a FML. staying with someone out of pity is horrible. what makes anyone think they should be loved for their faults and weaknesses? this chick was dumped by a guy that was honest with himself, which i think is great. she cant expect people to love her for her faults, out of pity. if she does, she is in for lifetime of disappoinment,

OP, I really hope that you're going to a therapist or at least considering going. Trust me, I've learned the hard way that not seeking help for your depression is the worst thing you can do. Going to a therapist isn't going to solve all of your problems immediately, but over time, you can start to find ways to help yourself.
