Today, at a staff meeting, our boss sighed and asked why I'm always in the meetings instead of my co-worker. I reminded him that it's because I'm the department supervisor, not my co-worker. He wouldn't believe me until he saw it for himself in our personnel files. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was talking to a colleague at a meeting, and I told him about my promotion and how the position was created specifically for me. I forgot that the guy works in HR, and he started questioning me about how the division was able to create the position, and said that he will need to look at it. FML
Slackers
Today, my boss told me that people from work have been complaining about me. Apparently, I'm not doing part of their jobs for them, and the other manager sometimes does. FML
Supervision
Today, I was told by my manager to make sure the supervisor on shift does his job. Last month I was told I couldn't be a supervisor. Apparently I can supervise someone who earns more than I do though. FML
Today, my boss called me into his office. After yelling and firing me, his assistant comes in telling him he had mistaken me for someone else. He did not give me my job back, as he claimed it would make an awkward work environment. FML
Today, at work, I was standing around, doing nothing. When my coworker pointed this out, I laughed and said, "It's okay, I'm training for a supervisor position!" Guess who was standing right behind me. FML
Today, my idiot of a boss yelled at me because it's physically impossible for me to be in two places at the same time, and that I'm not a magician. He didn't understand that. FML
Monday, Monday, so good to me…
Today, I was scolded by my boss, all because I can finish most tasks in a quarter of the time it takes him, and he doesn't want to be shown up. FML
Today, my slacker co-worker accused me of stealing because I got more hours than him. I was called into the manager's office and interrogated. They believed him, and sent me home for the day. I guess it pays off being the boss's kid. FML
Today, my boss gave me a lecture accompanied with a formal warning because I failed to take notes during a client meeting. I was never at this client meeting, in fact, I had a call with another client at the same time. Regardless, he insists I was there and refuses to listen to reason. FML
Management
Today, I had an hour-long meeting with my manager where she informed me the reason I had not been promoted is because she felt that people would not like to work for me, because I would, "make them do their job." FML

Your boss is either disorganized, has a bad memory or is just an idiot

or maybe OP doesn't require his boss to be there every step of the way, and that's why his boss forgot who he was.

Sounds like you need to step up to the plate and be more assertive! If you're a supervisor, act like one :)

I'm sorry, OP, but there's no winning in this situation. Because of my job I've been studying a lot of companies and their employees... If your boss believes that your co-worker is supervisor, this belief will become reality. It matters why he had this belief only so you know how to avoid it in the future: your co-worker used social-engineering to appear to be supervisor, or your co-worker is confident and people think he's a boss because of his confidence, or your boss likes your co-worker very much and a supervising position would bring them closer. There, now you have it. Use it wisely.

Wtf #51? Are you a therapist? The dipshit boss doesn't have an org flow chart. Probably a Walmart anyway.

watch the people that are in charge and you'll realise that the stupid people in this world are in the highest position. I still don't understand how it works but that's how it works. don't take it personal owners and bosses/managers are complete ******* morons. iq and common sense doesn't mean anything anymore. dumb people should be put down like stray dogs. I hate this politically correct world

I'm guessing your co-worker has been scamming him somehow and he can't admit to himself that he's been fooled. Don't sweat it.
