Today, as I was yelled at by a middle school teacher in front of 30 6th graders for breaking the rule of "no cell phones in school." Luckily, I escaped being sent to the office after explaining I'm a 21 year old college student doing student teaching observations, not a middle schooler. FML

Halloween

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.

I'm glad you're getting your lessons in double standards and hypocrisy! I'll bet you smugly chew gum in class (and didn't bring enough for everyone!)

I know how you feel. I worked as a TA at my former HS for 4 months last fall and got escorted to the front desk for suspiciously walking around. I'm 23, had a scheduled appointment and they didn't believe that i wasn't a student.

I got mistaken for being 16 by a cousin of mine when I asked how old his daughter was (distant cousin) and she said 13...he said "I bet you she's 16."...I'm 23. On the note of having a cell phone and using it in school...I am going to school to be a teacher, and even I know that using it is a no-no...YTDI

You deserved it--shouldn't of had your phone out anyway. Unprofessional.

At least u escaped...but still that is embarrassing being yelled at in front of a group of people

I was a senior in high school and had the same thing happen to me, I was even in a nice pantsuit with a teacher assistant "tag"... Not sure if I was more embarrassed or mad.... •_•

Just keep in mind that when you get older it'll be nice that you look young.

Puberty is right around the bend young grasshopper, do not let this discourage you. XD
