Today, after several long years, a lot of debt, and two great degrees from a top university, I had to move back in with my parents, because no matter where I look, I can't find a job. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Grow a backbone time!
Today, I had to stop going to university with 2 years left because my parents feel it's not the right course for me. I am 23 years-old, living with my parents, $2 to my name and no job. FML
Social parasites
Today, I can’t even find a place to rent. Every place has dozens of applications, with several offering well over asking price. I just graduated from college. FML
End student debt
Today, I'm in a US college. I could've gone into a trade or internship, but no one listened. Now, while my parents brag to their friends that their child has a degree, I'll probably be spending the rest of life in crippling debt, sleeping on the side of the road, and begging strangers for table scraps. FML
Small town
Today, I finally left New York and moved back to my little hometown, only for the job I had lined up to fall through. Now I'm unemployed, can't find anything, and my parents aren't willing to help because they're angry that I "walked out on the family." FML
Today, I realized that even though I was an honor student throughout school, and considered the golden child who was going to go far in life, all I've accomplished a year after graduation is becoming an unemployed single mother still living with my parents. FML
Unreasonable
Today, I am one year away from getting a university degree. Unfortunately, my parents just kicked me out because I wouldn't drop out and work for free at our family's gas station. I'm now broke, homeless, and have no way to pay for school. FML
Desperate
Today, I tried to find a job. Again. It's been seven years since I earned more than 70€ in a month, seven years since I moved back in with my parents, and seven years since I was registered as having a medical disability. Nobody wants me, not even as a shelf stacker. FML
Great boyfriend
Today, I'm 37 years-old and recently out of a job. As my boyfriend refuses to pay more than half the rent as long as I live here, I have no choice but to move back in with my mom, 8 hours away. My boyfriend is quite happy to pay the entire rent as soon as I'm gone. FML
Today, after months of telling my parents I was going to live on my own, I finally moved out. Not even 24 hours being out of their house, some reject burned down the apartment complex I live in. Guess who's moving back home. FML
Today, I moved back in with my parents in order to help them with the mortgage, so they don't lose the house that has been in our family for three generations. I also found out that I now have a curfew, and so does my husband and our 3 year old son. FML

Degrees are pretty much a double edged sword. Sure you have a great degree, which really strengthens your chances of getting a great job, but until you actually get that job in this economy, the debt will Succumb you.

I heard McDonald restaurants are also hiring

I know these comments are joking, but I'd take them seriously. Put your pride aside and take a job anywhere you can get- if it's at CVS or ******' Subway, so be it. Sure, you're overqualified, but take what you can get. Get back on your feet and you'll be okay.

Wendy's is where it's at right now. Everyone I drove past while traveling cross country had now hiring on their signs.

This is what I'm afraid of, being in the music industry..

Sometimes, being over qualified(two degrees) won't get you a job in the field of those degrees, because people are scared to hire you, because they can't pay you what you'd expect from such high qualifications.

18 or they dont want to hire people with no experience. Especially if theyre old as well
Keyman1212 14
23- It should be "without experience" "they're". You tried, and made a good point too, so why don't you finish it off with good grammar and proper spelling?

33 I'm on my phone using swype
Keyman1212 14
What's swype? I've never heard of it. And I mean no disrespect, I only corrected you because I respected your post. I am NOT a grammar or spelling Nazi.

I honestly have no faith in the mainstream education system anymore. It was shit when I was in school, and it's only getting worse from what I'm hearing.
