Today, a customer came up to me with a can of ground black pepper and asked me what the ingredients were. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that if you see a tray with some black stuff in it and you can't decide whether it's powdered black pepper or cigarette ashes, it's not a good idea to taste it. FML
Today, a customer asked if we stocked gluten-free water. Then she got pissed when I laughed at what I thought was her joke. FML
Today, I was making one of those microwavable pizza kits. Realizing I had no crushed red pepper to put on it, my mom suggested using a chili pepper she had dried. Thinking it was a great idea, I cracked it open on my pizza and out popped some fuzzy white mold and two maggots. FML
Tetchy
Today, a customer pulled a knife on me after I informed him that we'd run out of avocados to put on his pizza. FML
Today, at work, a woman came up to the snack bar and ordered a pretzel with no salt. When I served her the food, she angrily complained about it having no salt, followed by her throwing the whole thing in my face. FML
Morons either way
Today, I knew my coworker was stealing my lunch, so I made a sandwich with tons of incredibly spicy peppers. He took a bite, shrieked in pain, and ran off sobbing. Unfortunately, he was also in an emergency meeting with an important client, so now my whole department looks like a bunch of morons. FML
Childish doofus
Today, I showed my husband a recipe for the meal I wanted us to make tonight. He saw cumin was an ingredient and broke into hysterics. By the time he managed to stop laughing, he gasped that he couldn't eat something "with cumin it" and broke down laughing again. FML
Today, at work a customer bitched me out for not explicitly telling her that our peanut butter pancakes contain real peanut butter. She's threatening to sue because she's allergic to peanuts. FML
Today, I told a girl that she had very pretty eyes. I then had to rinse pepper spray from my own. FML
I'm not sad. Or am I?
Today, to protect me from the 'bad people' out there, my mom bought some pepper spray. While trying to test it, I accidentally sprayed myself in the eyes. Now, every person I meet asks me what I've been crying about. FML

I feel your pain, OP. I've had customers ask me how many pieces were in an 8 piece bucket of fried chicken. Customer service makes one realize how many idiots there are in the world.

Some pepper has other stuff in it, such as an anti-caking agent. Also you would be suprised to know how many people think there is more to pepper than there really is.

Should have told them it's pepper from a free range and organic farm, it's gluten free and dairy free.

Lol sounds about right. You would be surprised how many people I've had to teach how to pump gas. All the while, them being unable to pump previously was all my fault. lol.

Some ground black pepper does contain wheat etc. to bulk up the spice somewhat. Its not always purely pepper.

I understand why he would ask that. When you buy a already ground pepper, it is mixed with sawdust and other particulate in order to fill out the extra space. Not to mention, the pepper loses its flavor when it is ground before it is needed.
