Today, my boyfriend asked me to explain why my ex keeps DM-ing me for money. I can’t bring myself to explain to him that I’m still paying off the abortion my ex helped me pay for from the ex before him. FML

Today, I asked my boyfriend to help me with groceries, since the last of my money went to last week's groceries. His response was to start a fight, then tell me it's my fault my daughter acts the way she does, which is when he finally got me to break down and cry. I'm pregnant with his kid, and I also pay 90% of our bills. FML
Today, the girl my ex-husband cheated on me with, and left me for, called me and asked for money to bail him out of jail. She asked me because I have my own business and I'm financially stable. FML
Today, I felt things were getting serious enough with my boyfriend that it was only fair to tell him I have a lot of credit card debt from helping out my ill mom before she died. He broke up with me and called me a gold digger, even though I didn’t ask him for a single penny. FML
Today, my soon-to-be ex doesn’t understand why I get so pissed that he has to consult his ex-wife over every little thing we do, including needing her blessing for us to get engaged. It’s none of her damn business, yet he insists he’s merely trying to not hurt her feelings. Fuck him and her. FML
Today, I had to tell my ex that I'm pregnant with his baby. I sent him a casual "Hey :)" text to try to ease into things. He replied, "WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?" and ended up threatening to make my life hell if I don't tell my new boyfriend that the child is his. FML
Today, my ex messaged me, saying he got his new girlfriend pregnant and that he thinks I have something to do with it. He thinks I put it in her head that they should have a kid together, when he says he didn't want any in the first place. FML
Today, I called my ex to ask if he could help with bills and buying some nice things for my son. He said, "Look, I'm not going to keep doing husband and father shit for a woman who won't marry me and a kid who isn't mine. Go call his dad." His dad is a deadbeat. He knows this. FML
Today, I confronted my boyfriend’s bitch of an ex about why she won’t let him see their kids. She laughed hysterically then showed me screenshots of all the times she offered to drop them off and the excuses he made. An hour later, she dropped three kids at our door and stopped answering her phone. FML
Today, I called my ex and told him I was pregnant with his child. He was thrilled, going on and on about how much he wanted to be a dad. I had to tell him I was going to abort it. FML
Today, the homewrecker who stole my boyfriend had the audacity to text me that I have to pay her medical bills from the pounding I gave her when I caught her and my boyfriend red-handed. She doesn’t care that I will now be a single mom of two kids and my only source of income is gone. FML

I think hunting animals for sport is horrible and disgusting. I have to tolerate that my fellow citizens get to do it and I don't have to. That's what living in a free country means. Some of our states are becoming Gilead, though.

I'll add that you should tell him the amount you still owe your ex. It stops the explanation from being vague and seeming evasive. That's the amount you owe the guy and once it's all paid off you won't have any further contact with the ex so there's no reason to worry about it.

Not sure how long you've been with the guy, but if you can't tell him the truth then leave. To not even be able to say that your ex helped cover a medical procedure. Before people come at me I am not for abortion I think it is horrible and disgusting HOWEVER, I do believe women should have more control over their bodies.

You are allowed to play some things close to your best early on in a relationship. Having an abortion is one such thing. Owing your ex money is not. Come up with a plausible story and explain when the obligation will be complete (the idea of being behind on bills, as others have suggested, has merit.) Also, the fact that you are willing to pay back your ex and are actively doing so should show any understanding person that you have good character.

"He loaned me money" end of sentence. If asked why "It doesn't concern you" is absolutely an okay response, and 100% is not combative, even if someone thinks it is when they hear it. No one, not even a partner, is entitled to your previous history. Unless the money is coming from his account, he can shut up.
