The curse
Today, as usual, my period cramps got go bad that I can't eat or drink without taking a pain killer, and end up puking and passing out if I take a pain killer before I eat. Here's to 30 smooth years yet to come. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, it's my long-anticipated 21st birthday! Today also happens to be the first day of my period. I've spent the whole morning in the fetal position with agonizing cramps, reduced to tears, and whimpering while the painkiller refuses to kick in. Happy birthday! Love, my uterus. FML
Today, the pills my doctor prescribed for my extremely painful period cramps apparently have a side effect; excruciatingly painful cramps. I feel like I'm being repeatedly stabbed in the ovaries with a rusty fork. FML
Today, I’m currently battling a cold that caused me to call into work yesterday and, as of this morning, I’ve also started my period and have the most painful cramps ever. Good thing I have the day off from work. FML
Today, I'm so sick that I'm drinking fluids just to make it hurt less when I puke. FML
Today, for the first time in years, my period is early. I woke up at 5 a.m. with the worst cramps I've ever had in my life. Medicine isn't helping. It's literally so bad I feel like I want to throw up. It's fucking Christmas but hey, it wouldn't be 2022 if my garbage pile of a body wasn't ruining something for me. FML
Today, I received the gifts of my period, diarrhea, severe dizziness and double vision, and an ant infestation in my home. These were followed by the glaring absence of any gifts from my husband. Happy 40th to me. FML
Today, I woke up from celebrating my 29th birthday. I guess it's true that tolerance drops quickly as you age, because I stayed in and only drank a few beers with my husband and spent the entire day retching so hard I puked up blood. My partying days are definitely over. FML
Today, I have severe sun poisoning, a migraine, have been getting dehydrated no matter how much water I drink, and am on my period with horrible cramps. Yay summer! FML
Today, I started my period, complete with cramps, diarrhoea, a headache, bloating, and aching legs. Apparently my body didn't get the message that I had a total hysterectomy a month ago, including my ovaries, tubes and cervix. FML
Today, I fainted in the lunch line at school due to extreme period cramps, and ended up having to get seven stitches on my face. This is the third time I've fainted because of my period this year. FML

Are you on a birth control? It might help if you aren’t and depending on what you are on if you have it already, you may need to change. Definitely go see a dr tho

I definitely agree with others here saying talk to your dr! and if your dr won't help you then see about an ob who can help! my mom has had this issue her entire life and she ended up having an iron deficiency, she ended up having to have surgery to fix it. even my periods got pretty heavy after I had my third baby until I got back on birth control. after baby number 4 I just got the IUD put in and now I hardly notice it! hope this is helpful in some way.

Oh honey I'm sorry. Listen--get treatment NOW. Keep going to doctors until someone actually listens to you and helps. It's not going to get better with age and you could have a serious medical condition like endometriosis.

What's stopping you from just using birth control to better control your periods?

I had some of the same issues, there’s medicine you can take for it that doesn’t mess with your hormones and isn’t a birth control, literally saved me. Ask your OBGYN about tranexamic acid.

Pretty sure that isn't normal for period cramps. I'm not a doctor but I advise you to see one right away.
