Today, I was feeling really depressed and ended up asking my mom why guys aren't interested in me. She replied with a laundry list of reasons, including, "Hair. Boobs. Face. Everything." FML

Today, I asked my mom why nobody likes me. She reeled off about a dozen reasons. FML
Today, feeling very self-conscious about my looks, I told my mom I felt ugly and wished I could be as beautiful as her. She only said, "Yeah, I'm pretty, I wonder what happened to you." FML
Today, I asked my mom if I was ugly. She said, "Ask your girlfriend." I said I didn't have one. She said "Exactly." FML
Today, I told my mom I was feeling depressed and needed motivation. She hugged me and said, “Honey, you just need to get out there and find someone who loves you for who you are.” Then she added, “...but maybe lose the mustache first.” I’m her daughter. FML
Today, my mom and dad were talking about how if I lost weight, I would be attractive and have guys all over me. My dad said, “That’s exactly what I’m worried about.” It took me a while to realize they both think I’m ugly. FML
Today, I was talking with my mother and expressed my slight disappointment at how many of my friends are getting into relationships, whereas I'm still single. My mother decided to encourage me by saying "Don't worry, sweetie. There are boys out there who don't go for looks. You'll be fine". FML
Today, after coming home from hanging out with a few friends, my mom told me that I shouldn't hang out with them any more. Why? Because "they are way hotter than I am and I'll never get a boyfriend if I'm always the ugly one in my group." FML
Today, I came out to my parents. My mother laughed and, when I asked her what was so funny, she told me, "Well, most gays are attractive, muscular, funny and can dress very well. You're ugly, fat, boring, and have no sense of fashion. Good luck." FML
Today, I told my parents I wanted to try modelling. I thought that since I have such a low self-esteem, that it might benefit me, and make me feel better about myself and how I look. The first thing out of my dad's mouth was, "What? Why? You're ugly." Thanks dad. FML
Today, my mom tried to give me a pep talk to boost my self confidence. Somehow, it ended up turning into a conversation about how much of a loser I am and how I have no friends. FML

OP parents say terrible things my mom is an alcoholic and she's said some horrible things. Also, lot's of people age like wine and others like milk. It's hard, but it does get better sometimes. Family is more who you love not blood relation.

Op, I am not sure you will look at this, but personality is one of the most attractive things to have. Being a good person and trying your hardest will get you a lot more friends and relationships in life. People are drawn to happy, well adjusted people (which your mother is trying hard to prevent.) If you truly dislike yourself, ask some friends to help you find more flattering clothes. You can get a hair cut. If it truly bothers you. But if you like who you are, then don't like a bitter old woman shape who you are.

Don't ask your mother those questions. She obviously has some serious issues. Instead, make yourself into the person YOU would like to date. Seriously, it works! Take care of your body, develop interests, get out to some internet Meetup Groups (Google it). Go forth into the world and enjoy being you, then you WILL attract people if you have stuff that's yours and stuff that's fun going on in your life, someone will want to share it. Sounds like mom is bitter and has let a lot of venom drip down on you. IGNORE HER. Who married best out of all the ladies I know? My cousin. My cousin weighs about 300lbs. She is middle aged and has two daughters, BUT, she has a cool life she made for herself and a lot of self confidence. She works with the positive in her life, not the negative. When the right guy came along (and yes, he was rich and yes loves her like crazy) she was ready, even though she was not perfect.

They are interested in you, you're just going after the wrong guys. What you usually go for, go down a level. Get to know them and then ask them on dates. If your hair and face is such a problem, try styling it differently, dying it or getting a hair cut but only if you want to. Face wise, small amount of makeup to look natural. Relationships aren't too much of a big deal, anyway. Focus on your studies and career first. :)
