They shouldn't assume it was you, run a forensic first, then make the call, not just point fingers. You didn't deserve this, what have you done to them?

I can see your point but most people always feel compelled to assume things especially things that are very suspicious

The people who vandalized all the houses left your house untouched for a reason. So everyone thinks it was you. That's just smart on the people who actually did it.

Hope you have a strong alibi!Or better hope the actual culprit is caught! It would be nice if you got your name cleared.Angry Neighbours are the worst!Good luck :)

wow that was the smartest prank against a house I have ever heard about, as far as I'm concerned, whoever did this, did this against you alone

I bet it's someone in your neighborhood. And left your house so that all the suspicion will be on you. Hope they catch the person. Till then fyl really.

Because they broke into yours a few days before?

"Every house in my neighborhood was vandalized. They skipped our house". This is a logical contradiction... or OP does not live in her/his own neighborhood... which is also a contradiction... now I will be sleepless until I can solve this puzzle!

So it's like a tornado; it skips every house but yours. Except in reverse.
