Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my brother came out to our parents. They weren't super happy with it, but they said that it was ok since they still had a straight son. I don't know how to tell them that I'm gay too. FML
Today, I came out to my mom. I had an epic speech planned, and when I tried to tell her, it all fell apart and I started crying and just said, "I'm gay." After a few seconds silence, my mom sighs and says, "Duh." FML
Today, at 18, I finally told my mom I was gay. She spent the rest of the day bringing up my "future wife" at every possible chance she had. FML
Today, after having a long talk with my mother about LGBT rights, she told me that she was totally open. I felt completely relieved, being gay myself. Seconds later, she said, "But not for you. I want you to find me a nice girl that can give me lots of grandkids." FML
Today, I went to family therapy because my mom wanted the family to be closer. When asked what her biggest disappointment was in life, she turned to me and said, "Having a gay son" then patted my hand, smiled, and said "No offense, honey." FML
Today, I introduced my girlfriend to my family for the first time. My mother's immediate reaction was, "We didn't know you were gay!" No mom, she really is a girl. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that he was gay and that he is in love with my younger brother. FML
Today, I told my parents that I'm a smoker. My mother started crying, and said she worried I was gay, but this is almost as bad. That lead on to part two of my confession. FML
Today, my sister came out of the closet. By which I mean she came out as the pregnant mother of my boyfriend's child. FML
Today, my son decided to come out of the closet by wearing a shirt that said "Mom, I'm gay" to the family reunion. FML

RoguePenguin, I believe that the dick here it's you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and if you don't like them, you can GTFO. My opinion has been stated: Gays shouldn't be allowed to have any 'special rights' or considerations, they shouldn't have to make all that noise about so little. if they do not like the laws as it is, they are welcome to leave the country. I just wish they would STFU. And for everyone out there that thinks that I am a sexist, I am not. In fact, I despise man that treat women like they're inferior to them.

#66, #99 Has the right mind set, I'm sure they didn't come on here for you to disrepect their mum. WHO would seeing how you can't help but love them even if their mean or rude. Please don't make this about gay rights I've heard of enough about that already, chill people this a funny site....not lose your head over some people's faults. -_-

This reaction should be expected, although it isn't completely right. On the bright side, she will get around to being more accepting if she is a decent person. I also don't think she was meaning to insult you when she cried harder.

.... she's still gonna have grandchildren.. just because he's gay doesnt mean he wont have children! and you, too. if my parents cry when i tell them i'm gay i will slap them in the face. it's so rude!

Wow .. your mom is really a piece of work. The crying thing is understandable I would say. It's something not everybody goes through and none of us knows what it feels like to have a gay or lesbian child. You don't know how they'll react for sure, but I know that my family's extremely accepting and such. I just don't like the reason why she cried for. She's being extremely ignorant. She's acting as if your brother's not a person, not a man who can actually produce sperm or have babies. He's so obviously capable of having children, but that's a choice that's up to him, not her.
