Today, I realized I freaking hate my career. I've only got through a semester, but I feel like I can't end the four years it takes. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I realized that I wasted my time in college. I'm supposed to graduate next month, and I hate the career I'm going into. I could've focused on recruiting and easily found a job I would enjoy, but I decided to waste my time watching YouTube videos and playing video games that I'm not even good at. FML
Today, I realised that I wasted 10 years of my life studying for a godforsaken exam for my career. I took the dang exam 3 times, and failed it. This September will be my last and final attempt, and If I don't make it, I don't know what I will do with my life. Changing careers at 42 just seems too difficult. FML
Today, I found out I can't earn a bachelor’s degree towards my dream career because I have previously gone to undergrad. I only went to undergrad because my parents convinced me not to pursue my dream career the first time around. I quit a brutal job to pursue this… but at least I had a job. FML
Today, I finally realized I've spent the last 6 years building a business I hate. FML
Today, I hate my life. I'm too smart, too dumb. I'm 5 year single after a horrific marriage and I can't seem to make any ground since. No one likes me. I can't find a job. I wish I would have died in the numerous car wrecks I've been in. This life has been too hard and I fucking hate it. FML
Today, I realised that I still don't know what to do with my life, since my parents have taken decisions for me my entire life, and are forcing me to a field of study which requires enormous amount of dedication and years, which I have no interest in, but still have to do because I don't know what else to do. FML
Today, I realized I hate my life now. Everything changed. My friends changed. I don't like Paris. It's cold and lonely. It's nothing like Emily in Paris. I'm overstressed with uni and my future. I want a break. FML
Today, I had to stop going to university with 2 years left because my parents feel it's not the right course for me. I am 23 years-old, living with my parents, $2 to my name and no job. FML
Today, I have to start completely over on my degree and life, because I was so busy raising my sister that I never got to plan my career out. FML
Today, I’ve returned to college in my thirties because I was finally ready to commit to a program of study. Unfortunately, I have zero organizational or time management skills at this point in my life and I can’t keep up with deadlines. I waited all this time just to crash and burn. FML

Op it’s okay to change your major if it’s an option. A lot of people do it because they realize they picked a path that didn’t work for them!

Better to figure that out now and change majors early than to waste four years' time and tuition learning things you'll never use.

Dude, if you're still in college, it's not your career, just your major, don't get ahead of yourself. And as others have aptly said, if you don't like it, just go for something else you at least tolerate.

I was two years in and had just gotten accepted into clinicals for a nursing degree when I changed my major to IS. Had no clue I even liked IS, but I knew I did not want to be a nurse. Best decision I ever made.
