Today, after declining an amazing job offer that pays more than double what I make now in order to accept a promotion my boss offered me if I stayed, I asked when I would receive the promotion and pay raise. She snorted and said, "You thought I was serious about that?" FML

How much do my bosses think all of that time and effort is worth? One dollar more per hour than I made before. FML

Don't stay for the job that only wants to recognize your worth when you're headed out the door. If anything, leave and come back. Your boss is a fool. Call the other company to find out if that position is open or if there are any similar.
