This FML is from back in 2016 but it's good stuff

Today, I practiced my drum playing in the garage instead of my room out of consideration for my neighbors. Guess the consideration wasn't mutual, because one of my neighbors just shot a hole in one of my drums with an air gun. FML

I think the best solution is to shoot back and see where it hits.

So you played your drum for him, you played your BEST for him, then he shot at you, you and your drum (pa rum pum pum pum)? That's rough, drummerboy.

Call the police that's highly illegal. If you're a minor they might be in even more trouble. Those that say sue will cost more to sue than the drum to replace. Maybe give them the bill after and threaten to sue and maybe they would wise up or they may settle if you drop the charges if they pay.

Not in small claims court. It is open and shut case.

so u played in the garage out of consideration for the neighbors as apposed to ur room? somehow that doesn't make sense to me, unless ur garage isn't attached to the house and is far back.. even if that's the case your room is inside the house and still would probably make less noise

Shoot his car back

Call the cops and sue him, you'd win. He destroyed your property and legally has to pay you for a replacement, or at least the value of the destroyed item.

You could sue. They caused unnecessary damage to your property.
