Today, I'm single again, after my now ex attacked my best friend out of jealousy, forcing me to choose between 25 years of friendship and 3 months of a relationship. FML

Today, one of my female friends decided she wants a relationship with my ex. I told her I was fine with it because we've been apart for years and have been friends ever since. She then made him chose between being friends with me and having her as a girlfriend. I just lost two of my few friends. FML
Today, I found out that my girlfriend still hangs out with her "abusive, violent, psychotic, misogynistic, manipulative" ex. I told her to block him and she pitched a mega tantrum. Now I'm single again. FML
Today, my supposed "best friend" started going out with the girl I'd just split up with, immediately after she said she wanted to see other people. FML
Today, my best friend became my ex-best friend. I have finally gotten over the guy she stole from me a year ago and have developed a crush on another guy. My best friend called me today to tell me that she broke up with the first guy and is now going out with my current crush. FML
Today, my best friend of 5 years, who I got feelings for, and who I spent endless time bending over backwards and going above and beyond for, once again rejected me. He got into a car accident and I stayed with him all night, only for some girl he never even told me about to come and introduce herself as his girlfriend. FML
Today, my best friend finally broke up with her knob of a boyfriend. This would be great except now my boyfriend of two years has broken up with me because she's finally single. She introduced us. FML
Today, I told my friend that I insisted on to remaining single, but yet he still wanted to introduce me to a friend of his. Turns out it was my ex, whom I haven't talked to for 5 years. FML
Today, one of my best friends, someone I considered family, and whose kid I see as my nephew, picked a piece of shit dude she’s been seeing for 3 months over me. And no, I didn’t make her choose. He decided to be an ass to me and when I wasn’t OK with it, she just let him. FML
Today, my best friend decided to start dating my ex. We broke up yesterday. She also thinks I'm crazy because I'm upset about it. FML
Today, I called off my engagement because I fell in love with my best friend of 10 years since we recently reconnected. I confessed my feelings to her and asked her out. She rejected me and said she only sees me as a friend. Now I’m completely single. FML

You did the right thing. If she wanted to get rid of your friends after only three months, it wouldn't have gone well in the long run.

I've been in almost that exact, same boat. if anyone ever forces you to choose, then you don't choose them! a true friend regardless of the relationship will never make you choose. they may disagree, they may speak up about it from time to time, but they will support you in your decisions and be there to catch you if you do fall. and jealousy is always a killer. there is healthy jealousy, and unhealthy. that is a example of unhealthy jealousy handled in an unhealthy way. I truly think you dodged a bullet with your ex. good luck to you! It will get better!

My ex did this, we got back together and before we made it official he was like you need to cut this person and this person and this person out of your life. Noticed what he was doing and dropped him like a potato for the 4th time 🙄

I am sorry that you're in this predicament but I must ask; is your bestie of 25 years also a female? If so, (and I am not saying it's right, but) your now ex-girlfriend was probably jealous, and believes that "guys and girls can't just be friends."
