Today, my sister, who has been seeing a guy for a year, got engaged. I've been dating my boyfriend for over 5 years and let out some not so subtle hints and he basically refused to propose. This is her second marriage in the time of my relationship. FML

Today, my sister broke up with her boyfriend of 4 years because he hadn't "popped" the question. I've just spent the last 2 months helping him plan the perfect proposal. FML
Today, my younger sister stopped talking to me. I got engaged to my boyfriend of 4 years and apparently, she's been in love with him since she met him. Through me. She's 12. FML
Today, my sister announced that she and her boyfriend are getting married. Her boyfriend is my husband. We're not even legally divorced yet. FML
Today, my sister asked me if I was going to be getting married "for real" this time, because she didn't want to waste her money like she did on my previous engagement. The reason that one didn't work out in the first place is because she slept with my fiancé. FML
Today, my oldest friend got engaged to her loving boyfriend of one year. Meanwhile, I can't even get my boyfriend of more than four years to commit to a decision of what he wants for dinner. FML
Today, I found out the guy I've been dating for 5 months is engaged to his girlfriend of 3 years. I found out as we were talking, waiting for him to come outside after work. FML
Today, my sister called me and asked if my boyfriend of 3 years had proposed to me yet. And now the surprise is ruined. FML
Today, I announced my engagement. My mother's response was to freak out and demand that I postpone my wedding indefinitely. Why? My younger sister caught the bouquet at a wedding last year, so "she has to get married first!" My sister has been single for 3 years and showers once a week. FML
Today, I found out that my fiancé's sister, who only got engaged a couple of months ago, is getting married before us. I wouldn't have a problem with this if she wasn't planning her wedding to be exactly like ours will be. FML
Today, my father told all of us that he eloped with his girlfriend of two months. I'm engaged to the woman's daughter, and have been engaged since before they met, but now my family is making fun of me for marrying my "sister". FML

The thing about marriage is that you have to wait until both of you are ready. Pressure to propose because other people are doing it is not going to help the situation.

2 marriages in 5 years is not something i'd envy someone for. See it that way, your relationship is lasting and your sisters can't keep a marriage going. She should be the one writing and fml in my opinion.

Two marriages in five years? Sounds like you have the healthier relationship. For what it's worth, I got engaged after 9 years of dating. My suggestion is to talk to him about his and your future plans.

Your boyfriend may not be the marring type. ( by this I mean he will does all the thing that a husband does but he doesn't need a piece of paper to tell you or anyone else that you to are going to be together for the rest of your life.

Honestly with over half of marriages failing, I see nothing wrong with (and plan to personally) dating the same person for at least 5-6 years before getting married. Gotta make sure you've found the one, and if you're still with the same guy either way what does it really matter when you get married? Just be with each other!
