Today, I rushed to the post office to mail an important document for the study abroad program that I'd applied for, which was due in a few days. Just as the envelope slipped out of my hand and into the mail box, I caught a glimpse of the upper right corner where there was supposed to be a stamp. FML

Last call, bad decisions and 3 a.m. texts you'll regret until noon. Cheers.
Today, I bought stamps to send a letter. For some unknown reason, instead of putting the stamp on the letter, I posted the letter and the stamp booklet into the postbox. FML
Today, I've been waiting for a very important document in the mail. It has been two months. I reviewed my application and realized I forgot to put a mailing address down. FML
Today, I mailed out a college application that is going to another country. I paid $250 for the application and $11 for shipping. I just realized that I forgot to sign the bottom of the application. FML
Today, I had my driver's permit in an envelope to keep it safe and a letter to mail out. I drove away from the post office with the letter in my hand. FML
Today, in my excitement to make some new cards for the postcard exchange I take part in, I apparently spilled my bottle of glue directly into the bag that contains my entire postcard collection. I didn't notice until several hours later. FML
Today, I witnessed a postal worker with an important parcel stopping before knocking on my door, shrugging, getting back in his van, and driving away. I couldn't get the door open quickly enough before he left. FML
Today, on the way to work, I pulled over at a postbox to post a letter. I walked up to the box with the letter in one hand, car key in the other. Guess which one I posted. FML
Today, my high school diploma came in the mail. I accidentally ripped the diploma while opening it. FML

Yeah you deserve it.... but I know I have done that at least once in my lifetime, so you could have submitted one MUCH worse than this.

You were going to a study abroad program and missed it because you forgot a stamp on the envelope? The point is, people have done it but I'm pretty sure you haven't studied abroad "many times" That's the fml part.

Yeah, I mean if it was 6pm and that was the absolute last day to deliver it, then yeah, FYL. But you could have just asked a post office employee for help.

Sending mail to other countries has taken closer to weeks than days whenever I've tried it.... The only mail that gets there within a few days is local and if its local why didn't she just go drop it off? Maybe its different for some other countries, but in my experience, a few days for mailing something is guaranteed too late...

They'll mail it back to the return address if there is insufficient postage. So you'll find it in your own mailbox soon and can re-mail it properly then [unless you ALSO forgot to put a return address]. Since you have a few days before they're due, it might be fine.
