Running gag
Today, I was jogging in my neighborhood when I saw a kid's ball roll over to where I was jogging. I stopped, grabbed the ball for the kid and went to hand it to him. He then yelled, "Stranger danger!" and his parents came sprinting out. I had to explain the story to the police for 30 minutes. FML

Well, he's safe at least. What a brat. I blame the parents for giving him fear without intelligence.

That's what you get for being a considerate person.

I hate parents like that! I understand you have to teach your children to be safe but thats taking it too far! You shouldve spit on them. And the ball.

oh yeah. thaaaat's how we create safe, healthy, not-totally-paranoid-and-insane communities to raise our children in. by calling the cops to interrogate helpful passersby who we don't happen to have gotten acquainted with just yet. obviously.

Isn't it really sad that in the world we live in today, we can't even trust a friendly neighbor who is just trying to help, without thinking they are a prostitute or a rapist? What is wrong with people? The kid probably learned it in one of those stupid "Play It Safe" self-defense videos they made me watch in grade-school. UGHH. The horror! FYL, totally. The parents had no reason to call the cops.
