Today, I found out when my new roommate said she was self-employed, she really meant unemployed. She insists that I let her stay for free or she will file a sexual assault case against me. Rent is due on the 10th. FML

Today, I figured out that the roommate who I let move in with me on Sunday is probably a prostitute. I’m a lawyer. FML
Today, I told my roommate she had to pay $55 to replace a piece of the oven she broke. She told me I was being selfish and decided to illegally break our lease because I was, "making her feel unsafe." Now I not only have to pay for the oven repair, I also have to pay her next two month's rent. FML
Today, I found out my roomie has lost her only source of income. This means I'm responsible for all the bills and the rent. I would kick her out and get someone else, but she's my mother. FML
Today, I found out my roommate has been cheating me out of hundreds of dollars when I finally obtained records of the past year's electric bills, which are in her name. FML
Today, I got an eviction notice. I confronted my roommate, who’s supposed to be covering rent with the half I give her. She said, “Uhhh, about that.. I got Lady Gaga orchestra seat tickets, do you mind covering rent for a while and I’ll pay you back?” She makes three times my income and I can’t afford rent by myself. FML
Today, after I told my roommate last week she needed to find a new place to live because I thought she was psychotic, she set my house on fire. FML
Today I knocked on one of my roommate's door and asked her to stop vacuuming since it's was late. She started to record me and went on a tirade about how none of the girls there respect her. She has previously tried to push two girls down the stairs. Her lease isn't up for 4 more months. FML
Today, I found out my roommates spent my rent money and told the landlord I never paid. I've paid my rent and theirs the past six months. My name's on the lease. FML
Today, my roommate and I received a non-payment notice from our landlord, over a dishonored check that was used to pay the rent. I give my roommate money for my share and she handles the checks. Apparently, her trip to Puerto Rico was more important than paying rent. FML
Today, I found out that my new roommate is dating my ex-boyfriend. FML

Start recording every conversation if you live in a one party consent state, then call the cops and have her busted for extortion. If you live in a two-party state, you might want to find a lawyer. Either way, this ******* sucks.

Go to police, file a complaint. Have a record that she threatened with sexual harrasment suit because you found out she lied. Then get her removed by police from your apartment, just say you're not comfortable returning while she is in your property trespassing and threatening harassment. That's it, that's all you need to do. Record report! This is quite popular threat, manipulation tactic, protect yourself and don't let the parasite stay

Go to police, file a complaint. Have a record that she threatened with sexual harrasment suit because you found out she lied. Then get her removed by police from your apartment, just say you're not comfortable returning while she is in your property trespassing and threatening harassment. Either way I would have told the OP to get a lawyer. People like his new roommate tend to know how to schmooze the police even if there is a long list of men she’s done this to. Also talk to a lawyer and find out how fast she can get evicted and explain your case in detail. Most counties at least in the city have self help desks that help with free advice. Be prepared to have the police called as retaliation, and for her to say stuff like you and her were “dating” and she’s lived there for years longer than you have and own or are on the lease for the place and you aren’t.
