On notice
Today, I nearly got written up at work for missing an important memo. The memo was sent to everyone via the company Facebook group and not by our e-mail system. My manager could hardly believe people exist who have no Facebook account and have no intention of making one. FML

tell your boss he needs to send it via FML

Your boss seems very unprofessional. Honestly, a company relying on Facebook messenger to keep employees in contact does not seem all too appealing to work for.

People always find it unbelievable when they find out i have no social media. My life is so much better without that crap in it.

I don't have one because it's so invasive. Why does it want access to my camera and microphone? Or access to my messages or phone calls? It's too creepy and weird.

how can you have fml and no facebook?

You sign up for an FML account, but then don't do the same for Facebook. Pretty easy since FML does not require a Facebook connection, it's an option but not required.

They don't have an fml account. You can write fml's and NOT be a part of the site.

I can see that sending important information over facebook is ridiculous but it seems reasonable to create a facebook account if it may happen again in the future. What's the point of fighting the system when it only does you harm, surely you won't achieve anything by staying off from facebook when you can switch off all the notifications.

you could get your boss fired for sending confidential company info over an unsecured line. You are welcome.
