Today, while in class, I was called down to the office. The principal showed me a video of two guys fighting in the school parking lot. I'm accused of being one of those guys. I'm a girl. FML
Today, as I walked home, I heard the people behind me in an argument over my gender. FML
Today, I was working at my job as a cashier, checking out an elderly woman's groceries. She was very nice, and we chatted for a couple minutes. Once she had paid, she leaned close to me and said, very politely, "I'm so so sorry that I mistook you for a girl at first, young man." I AM a girl. FML
Today, a customer came into the music shop I work in to look at guitars. After calling the customer "Dude," and "Man," numerous times, they stalked off suddenly. When I asked if everything was okay, they responded with, "I'm female, you asshole!" FML
Today, I was walking into my school and I saw two girls kissing. Being a lesbian myself, and thinking it would be cute, I winked at them. I guess one of them had a history of cheating with a girl who looked just like me, because her girlfriend came up and punched me in the face. FML
Today, while I was at the gym, I saw a guy walk into the girls locker room. I was walking nearby so I said, "Hey man, that's the wrong one." Turns out it was just a very masculine-looking woman, with a very masculine haircut. FML
Today, I was in an unfamiliar building on campus and I needed to use the bathroom before class started. I walked in and saw a man at the sink. I said "Oh my god I'm sorry! I thought this was the women's washroom." It was. The very butch looking woman gave me a look of death. FML
Today, I went to go to an aerobics class. Shen the instructor walked in, she went up to me and told me it was a women only class. I am a woman. FML
Today, I was hitting on a girl who was getting ready to walk into the same class as me. We were waiting outside the room, so I told her that I'd heard the professor for the course was a total bitch. We walked into the room. I sat down at a desk. She stood behind the podium. FML

Welcome to the world of special snowflakes. Sadly the world is getting more accepting of these idiots. There are 3 genders that’s it. Female, male and both. If you are not happy with your gender that’s fine, you can change to the other, but until you do you are still what you are not what you want to be. Yeah, way to ignore all the third and more genders in societies before they were systematically oppressed by Christian Europeans. Also, what's between your legs doesn't dictate your gender. Those are called SEX traits, and are generally what's used to denote SEX, which is recognized as separate from GENDER. Gender is determined by brain structure and other unknown factors, and as such there is an inestimable number of potential variations in gender.

That's great but as you pointed out, your gender isn't visible. If you look like a man, and I greet you as a man, it's not okay to scream at me that you don't feel like a man, because I CANT SEE FEELINGS. It's impossible to not assume a gender/sex because by and large most people identify as one or the other. If I am corrected, I will use desired pronouns, but expecting people to just KNOW what you are is stupid.

Ok Ghostfox follow this train of thought and maybe you will understand my point (I know you will disagree with it but hey) Do you have a penis? Yes you are male. Do you have a ******? Yes, you are female. Do you have both? Rare but yes you are a Hermaphrodite. All of these things are ok and if you are not happy with what you have you can change. That’s ok too, whatever makes you happy. So yeah you are one of the 3. The other genders are all just bullshit names people give themselves to make them feel special. Gender dysphoria is a thing. All of these other “genders” fall into that. But it is a mental condition that doesn’t change your gender no matter how much you want it to.

True. But usually a hermaphrodite is found out at birth. Then the parents decide if they want a boy or a girl. And then surgery to get rid of one or the other body parts is performed. Hormone treatment is done as well. From then on, the child is either known as male or female. I suppose there are parents who don't do that. But before all this: "I identify as a...." bullshit, it was even more rare than the existence of hermaphrodites.

Wow, congrats on completely misunderstanding the point of gender dysphoria as a diagnosis. And what gender is. And what sex is. You should probably go back to school and actually pay attention to your health ed class. Or take advantage of the fact you obviously have internet access to educate yourself. Gender is not the same as anatomy, because of it were, people wouldn't HAVE gender dysphoria. Having a penis or ****** may have that SEX assigned to you for legal purposes, but just because someone has one or the other does not mean that they are the gender that anatomy is usually considered to belong to. So yes, I do disagree with you, because you are scientifically, medically, and factually incorrect. And horribly bigoted and intentionally hurtful toward transgender people, on top of that.

Rather than resorting to calling me a bigot or insisting I educate myself why not counter my point with actual examples? My points still stand. Your biological sex (legal sex) is your gender. It might not feel like yours but it’s ok to change that if you feel so strongly about it. Not to mention I did say I don’t agree with this “I identify” bullshit. This is because I could identify as a lesbian black woman. Doesn’t make me one. Not until surgery makes me one. So if someone identifies as the opposite gender to what they are but are not willing to change it by surgery then yeah I say it’s bullshit attention seeking. When you have had as much real world experience as me you may see this too. Considering that you're intentionally refusing to comprehend the difference between gender and sex, I highly doubt that you would put forward any more effort toward understanding any other aspects of it. Gender and sex ARE different, and your sex does NOT mandatorily indicate your gender. If someone is a trans woman, she's STILL a woman, even if she hasn't had any surgery done yet, or doesn't intend to have it done. In fact, desire for surgical correction is NOT mandatory for someone to be transgender, because not only is it sometimes not an option, but some people are less effected by physical gender dysphoria than social gender dysphoria. To put that in easier terms, some people aren't as bothered by the mismatching physical aspects as they are by constantly being referred to and treated as the wrong gender. Some of these people will change their mind and decide to have surgery at a later date- others will stick to HRT and using how they dress to be comfortable. There's also the fact that the LAW disagrees with your statement that someone's gender is their sex- intentionally misgendering a transitioning employee, coworker, or customer by referring to them by their birth designated sex after they have started the process of social transitioning is considered workplace discrimination and if done on multiple occasions, becomes workplace harassment, with all the same possible penalties and punishments as any other case. If this is going over your head, you can thank your lack of desire to understand that sex and gender are different, and that ones sex is not their gender. But if you want to throw the "give me evidence" card, please do fill me in on all your experience with transgender people, people who are intersex, and the medical involvement in both, since you apparently feel that you have so much first hand experience with them that your misunderstanding of them is actually truth. Oh, and also give me your evidence that there are only three genders when there have been cultures throughout history and across the world that acknowledge more than that. Of course, unless your "evidence" somehow makes hundreds of thousands of people not exist, it's obviously inaccurate given that people exist who identify with genders other than the three you argue to be the only ones to be real. Here's a suggestion, by the way- don't try to get your "evidence" from people who AREN'T part of the LGBT+ demographic, and that includes yourself. Actually look into the subjects using resources made by the people actually affected by social attitudes like yours, instead of only using material that reinforces what you already believe.

You could "identify" any way you want, but what is in between your legs (and maybe on the chest) as well as your brain chemicals and hormones and how your body functions are all your legal gender. It's not that hard. I may not know a lot of stuff, but I am good at science (especially the human body.). I wonder of you can get a book on the endocrine and reproductive systems.

Surr Trans people have been around, though a very tiny percent of the gay community, which is a small percent of the world population, but it is trendy now to think you are a different gender based on how you feel that day. There is a difference between Trans people, who are Trans and will never be the gender they want to be at the automatic level, but this gender fluid is a joke, and not a funny one.
