Not a geography major
Today, I had to show my daughter where the USA is on a map. She's 17, and we live in the USA. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, while teaching my history class, a girl asked me where North America was. She lives in North America. FML
Today, my teenage daughter tried to convince me that the UK is a part of Canada. After I pulled out a map to prove her wrong, she got all angry and defensive, and said that nobody's perfect at "geometry". My daughter is an idiot. FML
Today, I discovered that apparently my six-year-old daughter actually believes that the United States is the only country with advanced technology. FML
Today, my daughter tried to argue with me that Scandinavia isn’t a real place. She’s 17. FML
Today, I was telling my girlfriend about how my parents are flying out to Japan today on vacation. She was shocked at how short the flight will be, because "It's on the other side of the world." We live in the USA, and it seems I'm dating a Flat Earther. FML
Today, I had to slowly explain to my daughter why her Facebook profile isn't a valid piece of ID. FML
Today, my only daughter and her boyfriend sat me down for an important talk. I was thrilled, thinking they were engaged or pregnant. They actually wanted to tell me they're moving half way around the world. FML
Today, I have been teaching my 5 year-old step-daughter how to read and write. She came bounding up to me with a piece of paper and said, "look what I did". It was a letter that said "My dad misses my real mommy, not you". FML
Today, my daughter asked me why NASA hasn't gone to the sun yet. She's seventeen. FML
Today, I had to explain to my 18-year-old daughter why she can't pull a duck face pose for her driver's license. She still doesn't believe me. FML

Oh, that's bad! Granted, I'm terrible at geography, but at least I can pinpoint where I live on a world map...

when I was in school a girl asked if you could swim under Hawaii and if it was just floating there...

that's gotta make you proud! You have three options here: you could blame it on the school system, you could blame yourself, or you could teach her how to twerk...she's gonna need a skill.

Gotta love the failures of our education system.

Coming from everyone outside of America, we are not surprised... I'm sure she could tell you where the closest mcdonalds, KFC or Wendy's is though...
