My boy!
Today, I took my cat to the vet. He said he felt a strange lump that could be serious. I got really upset and picked her up, crying. The vet then told me I had to put her down. Absolutely devastated by having to euthanize my cat, I passed out. He meant I had to put her back on the table. FML

Hello Sadcat, I'm sorry to hear about the lump in your kitty and hope it's nothing. The misunderstanding sounds hilarious and probably scared the hell out of the doctor. :)

Hopefully you didn't pass out with your cat in your arms.

This is a joke. I've heard it before

When I first read this I thought you meant the cat said it felt a strange lump in it's throat, not the vet. I fail.

Crazy cat lady?

Bro. It's a cat. You feed it and clean up after it and it returns the favor by ignoring you and sticking its butthole in your face. Get a dog.

**** off. I've had three cats and two dogs and loved them all more than life itself, even if two of the cats didn't like me (one of them is currently a kitten, so I think she likes me just fine but just wants to run around the house). I've actually lost one, and it was devastating. He died almost three years ago and I still get emotional around his date of death and what we designated as his birthday (which was yesterday, by the way). He was my baby. My pissy, poorly-behaved baby.

I just read one about a dog dying, and it's four in the morning with no sleep. I cried after reading that you cried

Reject love. That's what I do and look how happy I am.

Having lost a cat and a dog to horrible diseases (they had to be euthanized) and having an elderly (but healthy) cat, I'd probably react the same way. I hope the lump is either nothing or is benign and easily treatable.
