Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my mom won't let me have the extra hotel room she booked all to myself, even though it's just me, her, and my sister. Basically I can share a room with her or with my sister, but I can't be alone. I'm 23. FML
Today, I realized that my 14 year-old runs my home. She has her own room, while her 11 year-old sister and I (her mother) share a room. I literally have to get her permission to go anywhere as well. FML
Today, I was visiting my in-laws and sharing a room with my husband's 17-year-old sister. Later that night she and her brother of 24 years started fist-fighting over an air mattress and I had to pull them off each other. The brother later berated me with, "You can't handle any pressure!" FML
Today, I met my older sister's cute male roommate. Everything was going smoothly until he asked if I was her mother. I’m only 20. FML
Today, my family was discussing the new rules of the house we are moving into. They told my sister she couldn't have any boys in her room. They didn't tell me I couldn't have any girls in my room. Even my parents think I can't get a girlfriend. FML
Today, I found out my mom can't wait until I turn 18, so she can kick me out and turn my room into a huge closet for all her clothes. FML
Today, I ended up sleeping on the dirty floor because my sister didn't want to share a king size bed with me. She got up to get a drink and stepped on my face. FML
Today, I found out my 11 year-old's best friend, who is two months older than her, is also her sister. FML
Today, I let my little sister sleep in my room because she had a nightmare. She is currently snoring like an overweight 40 year-old man with a cold. FML
Today, my parents are calling me a spoilt brat and threatening to disown me if I don't let my sister, her six kids, and freshly out of jail boyfriend move into the house I spent 10 years working my ass off to buy without having a mortgage. Sis said I can sleep on the lounge as long as I pay rent. FML

Your parents told you it's time to move out even though they didn't say it directly.

Everyone is talking about how they should move out, but it's not so easy these days. Don't forget that minimum wage still sucks and even with 2-3 it can be hard to support yourself. Don't forget about health insurance. The odds of you getting a job where you work enough to get it is not guaranteed. There's also the probability that at 20 they're doing some schooling or going to soon. Makes it harder. While all of this is possible, it's incredibly difficult. Especially for someone so young and green(not energy).

FFS, She's only 20. Why do you guys want her to move out that young? Are you insane?

And? You do remember it's their house yes?... And I assume you don't pay rent so you don't really get a say, but in all honesty what does it matter? It's not like your bringing boys home while living at your parents right?

Hey, depending on the bunk bed the bottom is bigger. Silver linings.

well your parents own the house, they no longer have responsibility for you. you have the option to move out. beggers cant choose what they want im 26 live with people and they repect me i respect them. i cant do whatever i want, but i manage with what i have, because i dont want to live with my parents. maybe roomates, its not always fun but you at least have your own room. also, your living with people your own age not a nine yr old!!! but if you choose to live with your parents thats what you will have to deal with. your not a baby anymore youre an adult.
