lol123 · 10 July 2009, 10:09 ·Norway Method acting Today, it was the premiere of a huge play I've worked on for months. The latest week we've practised a lot, resulting in little sleep. In one of the scenes I'm just lying there pretending to be asleep. Guess who actually fell asleep? FML I agree, your life sucks 48 784 You deserved it 10 478 135 comments Share
oxjessiiox · This FML is from back in 2009 but it's good stuff ·United Kingdom Method acting Today, I had to pretend to give birth in a play. I wanted to make it a realistic as possible but ended up crapping myself on stage by accident. FML I agree, your life sucks 59 401 You deserved it 30 041 194 comments Share
embarrassed · This FML is from back in 2010 but it's good stuff Pure entertainment Today, I auditioned for a part in a play. I've been practicing for months, and was very excited. After I'd finished singing, the director whispered something to the other judges, and they all laughed. Hard. So much for the lead role. Anonymous · 27 November 2015, 15:28 ·Jamestown, United States Today, I was in a play and had a battle scene. I got a little too into it and wound up twisting my ankle. The audience was treated to me screaming like a little girl before face-planting the stage a moment later. FML I agree, your life sucks 20 451 You deserved it 3 563 31 comments Share
Serious actor · 16 June 2026, 03:00 ·New York, United States Not a theater kid Today, I signed up for a theater production as they needed extras. I had exactly one line in the entire play. During opening night, I became so focused on remembering the line, I forgot to walk on stage when it was my cue. People stood there on stage waiting for my character, who was backstage, congratulating himself for not forgetting his line. FML I agree, your life sucks 149 You deserved it 349 0 comment Share

dead_painter · 4 May 2016, 00:42 ·Arlington, United States Today, after spending hours of my time painting sets for the last two months - with less dedication than only the head painter herself, and to the point where my health and grades suffered - I finally got to see the play I worked so hard on. I was the only one they forgot to put in the playbill. FML I agree, your life sucks 15 172 You deserved it 1 370 27 comments Share
Anonymous · 9 February 2013, 01:00 ·Zwijndrecht, Netherlands Drama! Today, I was rehearsing for a school play. My drama teacher keeps criticising the part where I fake-trip, saying I make it look terribly fake. During today's rehearsal, I actually tripped for real, and smashed my kneecaps against the floor with a scream. He still said my "acting" sucked. billie · 29 April 2025, 15:00 ·Los Angeles, United States Making the scene Today, I had my first day in an acting class. Our assignment was to perform a dramatic monologue. I got super into it, threw myself into character, and dramatically fell to my knees to deliver a line. Unfortunately, my knees slipped, and I faceplanted into the floor in front of the entire class.
