Memory low
Today, while my mom was explaining the house rules surrounding the towels, I took out a notepad and began taking notes. She snatched it away and threw it across the room. I need the notes or else I’ll forget. FML

Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my mother decided to "help me" by throwing out the stack of papers on my desk. Unfortunately, those were all my notes for my final exams. FML
Today, my friend told me she'd lost her notebook filled with crucial notes for our finals. She asked if she could borrow mine and copy my notes. She then lost my notebook too. FML
Today, my daughter used my towel. She thought that because it was clean, it would be okay. She’s 27. FML
Today, my towel was stolen at the swimming pool. I quickly found the culprit, and to avoid a conflict, I just swiped it back when he wasn't looking. I felt pretty good about everything, until I got back home and realized it wasn't actually my towel after all. FML
Today, a "friend" of mine decided stealing my very low amount of sticky notes repetitively to make origami and show off was okay, even though I had repeatedly asked her to stop. Then, when I snapped, I was the bad guy, and everyone who was around started stealing my pencil case to get them. FML
Today, my mother took my brand new PS4, which I haven't even played yet, and threw it out the window while I was at work. When I asked her why, she said she was mad that we didn't have any paper towels left. FML
Today, I went to Wal-Mart with my mom. She kept telling me to put my keys away so I wouldn't lose them. After a few times, I got annoyed and yelled at her. When we got back to her house, I realized I'd lost my keys. FML
Today, I got my kids busy, so I took a shower. I heard banging on the door. “MOM! Emergency!” I wrapped myself in a towel and opened the door expecting some catastrophe. My 6-year-old said, “Where do we keep the spoons?” I stared at him. “The drawer.” “Oh. OK.” Then walked off. I stood there dripping, wondering how I had become the emergency spoon consultant. FML
Today, my mother called me urgently from the kitchen. Thinking she was hurt, I ran to her as fast as possible. She threw a wet cloth at my head and ran away, laughing her face off. FML
Today, I found my diary on my mother's nightstand. Bookmarked. FML

Not good. You would think that she knows you by now and would understand you needed the notes. But more than likely, she thought you were just being a smartass. Her response was still inappropriate.

How many rules around towels are there? After "Do not wipe your ass with them," the rest of the towel rules are pretty trivial.

you mean you don't know the folding rules... every towel size and style is folded different for optimal drying efficiency. and the angle of the towel dangle isn't just a funny saying it prevents the spread of mold, and is key for comfort. the colour arrangement, size arrangements based on available size.. you know what, your towel privileges are revoked until you learn proper towel use.

You didn't even get into the special towels that only guests are allowed to use, and the decorative towels that no one can use, even guests. So much to think about!

Grizz, I think you are secretly my mother - this is actually what my childhood was like!! LOL

I wouldn't want towel privileges at your place, you little Be-Neat-o Mussolini! I'll dry myself on your drapes and be long gone by the time you figure it out.

I'm so confused. I've never heard of towel rules. I guess I could understand if you were working in a towel store, or a hotel, but at home?
