someone's ultra depressed and maybe should invest their thoughts in actual ways to improve the quality of their life rather than decrese it by obsessing on fattening cupcakes

Oh, shush. Dessert is okay as long as it's consumed in moderation. If you have it every day, then yes, it's bad for you! But every once in awhile isn't bad as long as exercise is involved.
