Today, I was so happy to be divorced from my asshole husband, I threw my ring off the bridge near the park where we met. As I was walking away, a diver surfaced, yelled, “I think you dropped this, miss” and threw the ring back at me. I can't catch a break today. FML

Today, I had to sell my wedding ring to help me pay for my divorce. FML
Today, I went jet skiing with my girlfriend of four years. I intended to propose to her. The $2000 ring fell out of my pocket and into the lake. I have no idea where it is. FML
Today, I found the $3,200 engagement ring I dropped in my yard. I ran over it with my lawnmower. FML
Today, my now apparently ex-fiance let me know our engagement was off by throwing my ring in the trash. No words, just throwing it away. I always slept without it, to avoid damaging it. Guess I'm single again. FML
Today, I confronted my husband about yet again going out “with the boys” and not coming home. I told him that as long as he has that ring on his finger, he’s gonna respect me, the kids, and our home. He responded by taking off his wedding band and throwing it to the ground. FML
Today, at work, my vindictive, cheating ex made me clean and inspect her new wedding ring. FML
Today, despite been married for less than two days, my husband has managed to lose his wedding ring. FML
Today, I was the ring bearer at a wedding, something I'd been nervous about being ever since the groom asked me. As I was walking down the aisle, I tripped over nothing and the ring flew from the little silk pillow and rolled into a nearby pond. FML
Today, my husband of one week lost his wedding ring while we were preparing for a dinner party. After a thorough search and no luck, I started to cry. He told me to quit being a drama queen because we had guests. He then got drunk with his friends, puked on the patio, and called me a bitch. FML
Today, during an argument with my fiancé, I threw my engagement ring on the ground. The center stone broke off. Now he's couch surfing, and has sworn that he won't marry me unless I can find the stone. One stupid moment might actually ruin my life. FML

You did catch a break. Sell that thing and use the money for something good. Buy something you’ve needed for awhile, or if you’re financially comfortable, treat yourself to a spa day or small trip. If you’re totally well off where a few grand (or a few hundred? Idk what resold rings are worth) is essentially meaningless for you, donate the money to charity or someone who needs it. It’ll make you feel good to do something good, and also give you a weird closure like “at least something good came out of this marriage.” Cheers! 😄

You did catch a break. Sell that thing and use the money for something good. Buy something you’ve needed for awhile, or if you’re financially comfortable, treat yourself to a spa day or small trip. If you’re totally well off where a few grand (or a few hundred? Idk what resold rings are worth) is essentially meaningless for you, donate the money to charity or someone who needs it. That was a rash and dumb thing to do. You can pawn that thing and get some money out of it instead of just throwing it out.
