Keep out

Today, my social awkwardness got to an all-time high when I hoped that I wouldn't get the job that I applied for, because I'd be working with the public. FML

You don't have to have social awkwardness to not want to work with the general public. Just common sense.

why would apply for a job you don't want in the first place?

Worked in a grocery store in a senior community and I have one thing to say **** coffee flavored ice cream.

Find a desk-job, that way you don’t have to face other people often. I hate customer service jobs too.

I've had all sorts of jobs and working with the public isn't scary once you break that seal. Though there are plenty of jobs that don't require it if your concerned about that. Best of luck.

Grow up. Deal with your shit. Quit looking for sympathy.

That really must suck. Just try and stay positive, deep breaths and relax. Remember there is a reason you applied for this job. Use that reason to get you through your day to day activities.
