Today, after my mother, who was a loving and gentle soul, died, I’ve moved in permanently with my stepmom, whom I’d never met. Her very first words to me were, “Let me make one thing perfectly clear: I am your mother now. If you make even ONE mistake, I will literally rip your fucking throat out.” FML

Today, my mom disowned me and forced me to move out because I didn’t have a crying heartbroken meltdown at the death of my stepfather. She knows I hated the man's guts since the first time he slapped her, so my not caring about his death shouldn't have surprised her. FML
Today, my step-mom tried to ground me. I met her just yesterday, when she moved in. FML
Today, my stepmother started talking to me after a month of the silent treatment. When I asked her what I had done wrong, she replied, "Nothing, but do you know that feeling when you look at someone and you just want to choke them?" FML
Today, I felt comfortable enough to finally call my stepmom "Mom." She politely asked me not to call her that. FML
Today, I just got my first period. My mother has been dead for years and my stepmother genuinely wishes I was dead, so who am I supposed to tell? FML
Today, I was told by step-dad, who I live with, that my mom "hates my guts" while smiling so big, because he got a call from her. He's so desperate for her to come back that all the lying, cheating, manipulation, and emotional abuse doesn't push him away. She's a tornado. FML
Today, my mother looked me dead in the face and said, "I have failed as a parent." FML
Today, my mother and I got into a fight over moving boxes. It started with screaming and ended with, “I hate you and hope you feel unloved for the rest of your life.” FML
Today, my boyfriend is always telling me I haven’t met his real mother yet, even though I’ve known her a year. However, when I happened to disagree with her today, she started screaming and hitting like a psycho. He had to wrestle her out the door. I get it now; I’ve now met his “real” mother. FML
Today, my abusive mom just moved into my house, within two weeks of me losing my job. FML

Maybe see if you can get a friend or other family to take you in and be your legal guardian. If you’re a minor a cps call may be in order in the near future. Or you could just become Cinderella

Literally? Tell the local police that if you die from having your throat ripped out, your stepmother is their prime suspect. If you die by any other means, ask them to charge her with aggravated murder (aggravated by the fact she misused the word "literally.")

This is the saddest FML I’ve read in a really long time. OP, I’m very sorry for your loss, and that you have to now live under the thumb of this psychotic person on top of that. What a ******* terrible person. I hope that your dad is supportive of you and that the living situation actually isn’t that bad. If it truly is, like everyone else said, try to find alternate living arrangements with another relative if you can, and document ANY abuse, including verbal threats, and call CPS if it comes to that. I'm sorry for your loss and that your father married such a horrible person. If you're a minor, is there any way you can stay with another relative until you turn 18? I'd also report the threat to the police.
