Go fund this
Today, I found out the fund-raiser my uncle ran to raise money for his cancer treatment was all a sham, that he doesn't even have cancer, and that the money was to fund a coke habit nobody knew he even had. FML

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I found out that the dude I love has been taking the money I used to support him and buying heroin with it. FML
Today, I found out from my ex-stepmother that my dad and lied about having cancer to cover up the fact that he was losing weight from doing drugs again. He lied about it for 5 years. FML
Today, I found out that when my uncle died, he left me and the rest of my family £2000 each. Only my parents kept and spent my share on themselves. FML
Today, I found out that my mother, who's been against me seeking treatment for my cancer, has been going to different churches and charities to get donations for her "poor ailing daughter." I've not seen a dime of this money, and my mom just tells me to pray my cancer away. FML
Today, I found out my dad stole money from me when he was arrested for buying Oxycodone from an undercover cop. FML
Today, I found out my father has been saving money to help me buy my first car. In the same conversation, I found out my mother, unbeknownst to my dad, used nearly all of the money to bail my drunken, deadbeat uncle out of jail for the fourth time a month ago. He's now back in prison. FML
Today, I learned that the cancer patient in a foreign country I sent money too from an ad on TikTok was a deepfake AI used by scammers. I thought I'd actually helped someone. FML
Today, my sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. My mother then confided in me that she suspected it was a prank to get more money from our family. FML
Today, my town had a carnival to raise money for cancer. I ran a kissing booth, when a really cute guy came up paid his $20, looked at me, and said "not even for cancer." He took his money and left. FML
Today, I found out that when my parents said they couldn't afford gifts for us kids, what they really meant was that they weren't buying a gift for me. I found this out when I overheard my father telling my uncle about the things he got my siblings. FML

Pretty sure 4 was joking; I thought it was funny. Although he must've been buying a lot of soda if he was doing a whole fundraiser for it!

did he use kickstarter?

Drugs are such dictators. The way they take over peoples lives is heartbreaking.

It really is so sad. I say F his life too. I imagine he felt awful while doing it and this definitely isn't how he imagined his life would be. Addicts are literally slaves to their drug. It's so sad and horrible. I hope your family can get him help op!

Ok, I seriously hope you're not defending him for this. The guy needs to take responsibility for his actions.

I wouldn't call it defending, but I grew up with an alcoholic father, and I know that having an addiction completely alters the person, and they don't even realize it. And quitting is extremely tough. So even though what he did wasn't okay by any means, I actually feel some sympathy for him, just because I know what it's like.
