Today, I got a new name, which is “We” apparently. My supervisor keeps admonishing me about details, saying, “WE don’t do that” and, “WE make sure to do this”, while she herself simply does anything she pleases, including the opposite of what she tells me “we do”. FML

Today, my supervisor told me off for doing something. When I reminded her that she told me to do it, she yelled at me for correcting her. FML
Today, my supervisor’s first words when looking at my work were, “What is this shit?!” I explained that I'd done it exactly like she told me to. She just kept on grumbling because she couldn’t find a single thing I had done wrong, which apparently ruined her day. FML
Today, my boss gave me some mentorship. She told me, "You need to learn to let people do things for you. Until then, I'm going to micromanage your project because I want it done my way." FML
Today, I got in trouble with my boss for doing what she wanted me to do. I guess she didn't think I would do it, so she did it herself. FML
Today, my job as a supervisor has become increasingly ridiculous because one employee doesn't want to do the tasks I give her. My supervisor tells me to keep working with her and giving her work. When she goes directly to him, he tells her she doesn't have to do them. FML
Today, my boss told me that people from work have been complaining about me. Apparently, I'm not doing part of their jobs for them, and the other manager sometimes does. FML
Today, after nearly two months of working at my new job, one of my co-workers finally explained to me that the list of tasks that our boss gives me every day are actually HER duties, and as I complete them, she just sits in her office and watches Netflix. FML
Today, as I have lately, I’ve been feeling like my boss finds any excuse to be upset with me and tell me how I’m doing wrong, when most times it’s just so stupid there’s really no point in it. For reference, I work in long term care. I messaged her and she got upset with me because she saw my name pop up and overreacted. FML
Today, my mom started her new job; she's now my new coworker. She's already told the other girl I'd said she talks too much, and has berated me for not calling her "Mom" while at work. FML
Today, I was given my marching orders because I corrected my supervisor on something he was actually doing wrong. It seems I deserve this for "not learning to obey my immediate superiors." FML

Never go to HR. HR are the henchmen of the bosses. If you have a real issue, get your own lawyer.

It's the way the ******' world works. If you're so indignant, start your own company to compete with your former boss's, hire people and then behave in a very consistent and equitable manner. When you company crushes hers, then you'll get your victory and not in the comments section populated by trolls.

I don't often agree with him, but he is right. HR is hired by a company to resolve worker issues in the company... but why the **** would a company hire someone to cost them more money... union reps sometimes work for the workers, but often to the minimum. also, in most cases your bosses job is to tell YOU what and how to do things. it's called failing up, they were promoted out of what they don't know how to do.

I don't know why people don't understand that the boss or supervisor can do whatever they want. They are in charge.

But a true leader would set an example, unlike the superintendent of my school corporation. Teachers are not allowed to miss the last school day before Christmas break or we get our pay docked, however, the superintendent, knowing that rule does not apply to HER, was absent that day. Yeah, she's the boss, but that's not very professional and it's not setting a good example. She definitely does not inspire her underlings
