Today, I tried to make a move on the cute guy who sits opposite me at work. In theory, I was going to start a game of footsie with him. In practice, I screwed up and managed to yank his computer's power cable out. He lost his unsaved work. FML
Today, as I recently starting having a huge crush on this one guy, my friend told me she told him about the crush, and that he reacted positively. I made a move, only to find out he has a partner. I've tried distancing myself to get over him but he befriended all my friends and is now in our group chat, and the crush has only intensified. FML

That's not love, that's infatuation. Take the L and move on. Focus on your work while you're there, and get therapy.

That's not love, that's infatuation. Take the L and move on. Focus on your work while you're there, and get therapy.

Nobody gets to decide who returns your love or affection - That’s a deeply personal choice. … That’s one of the things that make love and dating difficult. You have to find someone who you are attracted to and who returns that interest. … Man or woman, “no means no” and it doesn’t matter what the reason is. … BTW - That’s just one reason it’s not a good idea to have office romances. If it falls apart or is rejected, you are stuck facing the person every work day.
