Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my husband was concerned about our son using the Internet, so he told him a story about a kid who gave out his personal information and was kidnapped and killed by a maniac. Now our son is scared to use anything with a screen. FML
Today, my son tried extort me into turning the WiFi back on by hiding my purse. He was mad because he'd lost access for being disrespectful. FML
Today, my nitwit son infected our family computer with some sort of mad bastard virus after getting fooled by the promise of some non-existent Hannah Montana nudes. FML
Today, my phone went missing. My 8-year-old son took it to school and sold it for $10. FML
Today, my parents gave me an iPhone. They then checked my grades online, and promptly took it away. FML
Today, I had to be the responsible adult and take my parents' phones away. Most of their time is spent on social media and low-quality brainrot. FML
Today, my kids found out how to control my Google alarm clock with their phones. While I was gone, they set it to play screamo metal at max volume, then paused it. Sometime after midnight, as I was sleeping, they pressed play. FML
Today, my 5 year old daughter figured out how to use the microwave, microwaving my brand new 3G iphone. It was completely wrecked. So was the microwave. FML
Today, I confiscated my daughter’s tablet, phone and laptop after I caught her exchanging nudes with boys. My ex then called me in a rage, threatening to take me to court over “stealing his belongings” since he purchased them. No concern for our daughter’s behavior, just him wanting the stuff. FML
Today, my mom thought it would be a good idea to see what websites I go on from my computer while I wasn't home. She clicked the link that gave my computer a virus that I just got rid of a few days ago. FML
Feel like sharing it with the other FML users?
Thanks, your FML was submitted, and will appear in the moderation queue soon!

Well, he’s not wrong that his phone is tracking him and google is definitely spying on more people than the CIA, NSA and FSB combined. Still, that’s no reason to destroy those things. We’ve already sold our souls to our technology.

He's not wrong, he's just stupid. Not to be rude or anything. I'd recommend teaching him the scientific method of fact checking oh and tell him that they won't snitch about ****.

This information is 100% correct. But the reaction is kind of over the board. It's not like they are trying to kill us, only benefit from us and hurting us would prevent that

Good thing you didn't tell him about the computers in our cars and TVs.

(1) OP, your son is an idiot to destroy things that are not his. (2) He must be into some really nasty **** that he reacted this way. (3) There have to be consequences - He must make an attempt toward restitution. And password protect all replacements and make sure idiot son never gets the password.

I'm wondering how old he is and maybe he needs some help?

just tell him to google 15 random things every day. the more pointless information he puts out there the harder he is to track. it isn't easy trying to stalk someone's web use when half of it isn't even related to anything about them... so I've heard... from friends.
