Today, I locked myself out of the house I was house-sitting. An hour later, and my fifth attempt at climbing the fence, I figured I'd try the door one more time. Turns out I was turning the handle the wrong way and the door wasn't locked in the first place. FML

Today, I was locked out of my house. After hours of trying to break the door, I found out I accidentally left a window open. The door, however, still needs to be replaced. FML
Today, I got locked out of my house. After trying unsuccessfully to jimmy the lock, I managed to climb in through the kitchen window. I soon found out I had an effect on the door after all; it won't open at all any more, even with the right key. FML
Today, I spent forty minutes trying to break into my own house after being locked out. After finally getting in through a small unlocked window, I discovered my keys in my pants pocket. FML
Today, I tried to unlock my house's front door by hitting the unlock button on my car keys. It took me some time to realize my mistake. FML
Today, I was in my backyard. When I wanted to come back in the house, I tried to open the sliding door. I knew that my brother locked me out so I banged on the door very hard, causing the glass to break. It turns out that the door wasn't locked. FML
Today, I managed to lock myself out of my house again. My only option was crawling through the dog door. I managed it once before, but I must've put on weight because this time I got stuck halfway. My neighbour came over to “see if everything was OK.” He then helped push me through. FML
Today, I was fed up with things being taken from my room so I installed a key-locking handle on my door. I installed everything but the door knobs, and because I was worried that I would put the two of them on backwards, I closed the door to check. I'm now locked in my room. FML
Today, after locking myself out of my house, I let myself into my car to wait on someone with a spare key. It took me 15 minutes to realise the house and car key share the same ring. FML
Today, I've managed to lock myself in my own bedroom. It won't open no matter what I do. FML
Today, I locked myself out of my own shop. And I'm a locksmith. FML

That's why you have to violently try to turn the knob. Like you need to get in. And you hope that it will open.

Happened to me once, turns out all I had to do was lift the door a little bit. Only took me an hour to figure it out.

Wow... You're the kind of special person that pulls on a door that says PUSH. When one thing doesn't work, try the opposite. Try to think logically and use common sense but it appears as if common sense isn't too common for you. If you can't figure out a doorknob, what makes you think you can housesit? What happens when you gotta take a dump and you're only turning the knob the one way and it doesn't open. You gonna shit outside because you lack the ability to make logical choices?
