Black Lives Matter
Today, I was on my way home and there were BLM protestors, who I have no problem with, but my car was parked where they were and I had to sit there for three hours until they left so I could drive off. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I spent five minutes waiting by a stop sign. The two cars in front of me were taking a long time to move, so I began beeping and getting angry. Turns out, these cars were parked and I was holding up a line of traffic. FML
Today, I worked my two jobs. During my first job, my mom took my car to LA and was late coming back. On my way to my second job, as soon as I got off the freeway the exit to my job was closed due to a protest for Palestine. If you want to protest, at least do it on a day when I don't have to work my second job, please. FML
Today, I got screamed and honked at by a driver who felt I was in the way of his turn. I was on foot, and on the sidewalk. FML
Today, I was stuck in stand-still traffic for 5 minutes, before realizing I had stopped behind a parked car. FML
Today, I parked my car in the company lot and walked down the street to a mandatory company training. While I was at the training, everyone back at the office decided to leave early and locked the company lot. My car is now stuck there for the night and I'm walking home. FML
Today, when I tried to go to work, there were gun nuts blocking the road near my apartment, protesting something or other. I called the cops to break it up, only to be told, "We can't do anything because they have rights." Don't I have the right to not be terrorized by lunatics? FML
Today, after volunteering all day at the homeless shelter, I was mugged on my way to my car. FML
Today, I parked three streets away despite the ungodly cold. I did this because in the past, on my street, I have had my car keyed, my tires slashed, and my side view mirror ripped off. When I went back out to my car, I found that someone had broken off my windshield wipers. FML
Today, I was waiting in line for breakfast at the McDonald's drive-thru. After getting so fed up that the line hadn't budged for 10 mins, I pulled out of the line, only to realize I was waiting behind 2 parked cars that were just to the left of the drive-thru lane. FML
Today, my car horn got some sort of short and started beeping every 20 seconds or so. On the way to get it fixed, I got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. Behind a cop car. FML

Ummm, tapping one on the shoulder and asking them to move?

Asking them to move has unfortunately gotten people violently attacked. Whether asked nicely or not.

You should have stayed and protested with them and become "woke." Although I don't know how the Bureau of Land Management figures into this.

The whole point of a protest that blocks vehicles *is* the inconvienance. Asking them to please move would probably not have good results
MidnaLink 35
Then that's the protestors problem. If I'm being blocked in, I'd have 0 problem asking them to shove off for a few minutes. Even if I have to use the horn to get their attention.

....... do you understand what a protest is?
MidnaLink 35
Yes, do you understand what having no patience is? I'm not going to be forcibly confined to a parking space just because some protesters (whose movement I support BTW) decided in their infinite wisdom to protest near parked cars.

Exaggerate much? Nobody has people constantly literally standing in their face and chanting. It is not even close to a similar feeling
ojoRojo 27
TinScarecrow you’re right, the feeling of your people being oppressed for centuries is much, much worse.
TinScarecrow 15
So now you claim to feel your ancestor's oppression on top of your own? Neat trick. Maybe stop doing it? It doesn't seem very productive
bloopaloop 27
He never claimed to be oppressed. It’s ok to not be oppressed, red eyes.
JillianJuneBug 39
Nobody is that oppressed in America anymore. Give me a break.
ojoRojo 27
Bloopaloop I know he didn’t say he’s oppressed, I’m saying that Black people are. JillianJuneBug I’ll listen to BIPOC for their opinions on that.
bloopaloop 27
The supposed cause is great, but it’s turned a competition of who hates the most.

It's that old "We're on the good side so EVERYTHING we do is justified" mentality. Every group with no self awareness has had this mentality at one point or another

You don't have a problem with a marxist organization who want to Defund the Police, abolish the Constitution, and don't believe in the patriarchal family? Ya... FYL.

Run 'em over! 50 points each! :D Just kidding, but if they started damaging your car, that's probably considered vandalism in some way so you could call the cops then.
