Better out than in
Today, I resigned from my dream job with a small company. In the 6 weeks I worked there, a fist-fight occurred, the police were called 4 times, a person was fired for lying on important documents, and I was yelled or heckled for my ideas everyday. Now I'm jobless and worried, but had the first good night's sleep in 6 weeks. FML

Yes, I have money to last for a while. I have had bad bosses and powered thru till I could find other work. This one was the worst. There isn't enough space to describe the harassing and demeaning environment. It's going to be a difficult search.

I think you did the right thing, some times you gotta make tough decisions and I think you made the right decision for your own health

Did you save up? Because getting a new job is way harder now.

Was the phrase "dream job" supposed to be written in Sarcasm font?

Seriously..I have known this company for years and thought it would be great. Loved my job description. The boss hired me because he was having problems motivating people. He regularly ridiculed people in front of everyone. He picked a person to harass every day. I became his favorite target.

Sorry the reality did not match up with the dream! I just watched a season of 90 Day Fiancé -- if you want to see a clash of dream vs. reality, look no further!
