Today, after eleven years together, including eight years of engagement and three and a half months of marriage, I found out he had sex with his ex-girlfriend on my birthday. He's now leaving me and our kids to be with her, because she's his "soul mate." FML

Today, I found out my ex just got engaged to a girl he met 3 months ago, shortly before he ended our 5 year relationship. His reason for breaking up was that he didn't believe in marriage and couldn't be with someone who wanted to get married. Right. FML
Today, I learned that my boyfriend is cheating on me with not one, not two, but nine girls. How he did it, I don't even know. How I found out? I was coming into my room to surprise him for his birthday and saw him having a threesome. We have kids. FML
Today, my now ex-fiancé walked out on me on our wedding day. He decided his best female friend, whom he constantly told me not to worry about while we were together, is his "soulmate." Both of them ran away together to god knows where, while I stood there humiliated in front of our family and friends. FML
Today, after 20 years together and 9 years of marriage, I found out that my husband has been having an affair with my cousin for 6 years. The same cousin who came over every Friday. Who he wanted to be godmother to our 3 kids. FML
Today, I learned that my wife had been cheating on me. What's worse? My kids found out three months before I did, and told me that they like him better than me. FML
Today, I found out that my now-ex slept with his not-so-ex the day before our wedding. FML
Today, after 6 years of dating, 2 years of marriage, a daughter and another one on the way, my husband decided that he’s "not the one for me" and told me he was leaving for his co-worker who he’s only known for a few months. Apparently they’re more "meant to be." FML
Today, my fiancé told me that after 7 years together, he is no longer in love with me. Shocked and appalled, I asked him if he had anything else to add. "Happy Birthday." FML
Today, I found out my ex-wife (who I have kids with) is now pregnant with another guy's twin babies. We have only been divorced a couple of months. FML
Today, I found out that my husband is cheating on me with my ex-boyfriend, who came out about six months ago. We were still friends, and after they met, my husband admitted that he'd always wanted to "experiment." When I confronted them, he shook hands with my ex and said, "Now I get why you choose guys after her." FML

Maybe they at the time wanted to save up the money for a nice wedding as weddings are expensive. But if he kept pushing it off then I would've been suspicious as to why he kept pushing it off.

It seems to be more common when couples live together and have multiple kids together they put off the formality of actually getting married. They already live the life of a married couple so it becomes less important.

Agreed, aruden. One of my brothers has been engaged since I was 12 years old, ...I will be 32 this September! They have 4 kids, a house, 2 cars together. Most people believe they are married as they wear rings on their wedding fingers, plus my sister in law calls my brother her "hubby" (My brother has a wonderfully sarcastic reason for not being married, which cracks my SIL up). Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I essentially had no engagement, my husband and I had been together close to 18 months, we talked about marriage and decided to elope (I've said since I was a little girl that I did not want a wedding). We just celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. I'd babbled on more but my fat arse has spoken enough! ha. FYL to the OP, though. I can't imagine being with my husband that long, having children and finding out no only is he cheating but that he puts his mistress ahead of his children and current wife.
