Today, I tried to buy a bottle of wine from the supermarket. The scrawny, acne-ridden kid at the checkout asked to see my ID. I didn't have any on me, since I'm 37 years old and didn't expect to be asked stupid questions. I complained to his manager, only to be asked to leave. FML

Yeah, I'm finding OP a little difficult to sympathize with.

Don't judge dudes with acne even though I'm a girl with flawless skin

Don't judge adventuretime98 even though she's clearly a conceited attention-*****.

That's nothing. My grandma got id'd once. Like a year or 2 ago I think..

I don't know what the laws are in the UK, but in Illinois cashiers are legally required to card anyone who looks under 40. If you're caught not checking, you get fired and possibly fined, and the store could face legal action as well. It's not something a cashier would be willing to risk just so a guy without an ID can get a bottle of wine.

At least people think you look like a young bitch instead of an old bitch.
