That really sucks but its not uncommon. I always clean down there when I'm hanging out with my guy. I'm extremely self concious about my body, so I make sure I'm clean and fresh. And I make sure I'm trimmed. Some guys are okay with hair. But I never let it get wild, maybe a week unshaved. Just talk it out with her and I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm betting it was a little embarrassing for her when you told her why you wouldn't continue. I would've been mortified.
