Today, my girlfriend and I went to see a horror movie. It ended up scaring her so badly that she refused to leave our bed all night long, even to pee. I have to clean the mattress now. FML

Today, I went to see the latest Paranormal Activity movie with my mother. We were terrified and held hands at one point. The person sitting behind us thought it would be hilarious to abruptly scream into my mother's ear. She reacted by flailing and driving her arm straight into my face. FML

Today, I went to see Paranormal Activity 2 with my boyfriend. In hopes of him putting his arm around me or holding my hand, I told him that I was very scared and pretended to cry a little. He told me to be quiet because I was ruining the movie for him. Then he moved seats. FML

Wtf those movies aren't even scary, they're downright boring. Might have been good if they filmed it like a real movie and not like they did in the Blare Witch Project, which was also lame. I feel bad for OP's girl if a movie like this can scare her :/

You deserve it. Partly for taking her, partly for not sitting her down and tellling it's a movie. Kinda sad that you have to do the concidering you're adults since you're sleeping in the same bed, I'm guessing. What is it with people being unable to seperate fantasy from reality? It's a movie full of jump scares with one, very chilling scare. Get over it people, it's fake as shit.

... You're kidding, right? Seriously, you think this is real? If this does happen to anyone, it is very rare and anyone who says that it does you have to take with a huge grain of salt. And I mean freaking huge. This movie is a work of fiction. I didn't see anywhere in the credits, the trailers, or anything else this is based on true events. Anywhere. Please show me where this based on true events. And no, this kind of thing does not, I repeat, NOT, happen to everyone in the world. Yes, ghosts, in particular poltergeists, do sometimes do the things that are in the movie. But it's rare to have this happen to anyone.

You really need to relax. I was simply making the point that the director did research into the paranormal. Did I ever say that I in any way think it was based off of real events? PS. Why should something not give us a good scare even when it's fake?
