Today, my girlfriend and I went down to the pier. I brought an empty bottle and some paper, and we both constructed a massive letter expressing our passionate love for each other. We stuck it in the bottle, and threw it out to sea, only to see it explode in slow motion on a protruding rock. FML

Today, I was going to propose to my girlfriend on my boat at the lake. As we were looking at the mountains all around us, she playfully pushed me off the side into the water. As I got back on the boat, I realized that not only was my cellphone dead, but the ring had fallen into the deep water. FML

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend. When she saw the ring, she got so excited that she ran to kiss me and it flew out of my hand, over the balcony of our suite, and fell roughly 45 stories straight down. I could feel my wallet screaming as a £4000 diamond vanished into the night. FML

LOL. Litterer. Besides, what's the point of throwing it into the ocean? It'll probably never come back to you, or anyone for that matter, so you're littering for no good reason. If you really wanted to be romantic, you should've buried it in the ground as a time capsule and dug it back up in a few years. Or, y'know, picked something less cliche. That would've been good too. @82 - I..have no words. I just hope you're REALLY young.
