Today, I was ringing a lady up at the register. I noticed her son was doing the peepee dance, so I rushed the payment process up and handed her the receipt. The little boy says "Mommy" and the mom looks down, then back up at me saying, "Your problem now" and walks out. The boy peed on the floor. FML

Thanks for pointing out the glaring error in the story, I've corrected it. Unfortunately I can't contact the OP to know whether there was two kids involved, but anything's possible I guess ;-)

Well you know, from my experience when a child pee's, it wont usually just pour to the floor.. It just gets absorbed in their pants so I dont know whether or not this is true.

ah man. similar thing happened at my work a few weeks ago. this kid was with his mum, and she pulled at the mum's pants and said 'i need to go' and the mum pulled the kid's pants down, and the kid went to the toilet in the middle of the store on the floor. both ways. i was like 0_0 omg. thankfully i didn't have to clean it up, haha, cos i had to go back to the registers, but my poor friend had to.
some people are just... eugh. i mean, it's not like it was an accident, the mum pulled the kid's pants down.
we've also found dirty nappies in cots, and toy stoves and stuff.
(i work in toys r us, hence why we have cots and toys, lol).

That's just a shame - that woman should have cleaned up her kid's mess...totally disrespectful of you...what if the kid's got some kind of contagious disease? You have to clean up? You should have chased her down and handed her a roll of paper towels and said, "Your child, YOUR problem...you know...contagions and all". So sorry for you.
and #18 - depends on what the kid is wearing...shorts don't absorb much, and sometimes, there is a LOT of pee. My kids have peed down their leg and into their shoes, on the floor and rugs...it happens.

I have 2 kids and I would feel awful if that happened! 1) take your poor kid to the bathroom. Even if it means losing your precious spot in line. 2) I wouldn't let someone else clean up after my child, big a mom and ask for paper towels and clean it up yourself! My kids grandparents damn near have to argue with me to change my kids diapers, cuz I feel bad! Lordy parents like this make me sick!

The kid can't be blamed for being in need to go to the toilet and accidently pee on himself. But the mother could at least apologize for the incident and maybe help removing the pee from the floor. Or just doing that by herself. Also, why didn't she see that her kid needed to go to the toilet?
Oh well, accidents happend, but the mother shouldn't just have left.

Poor kid.
I worked at a retail clothing store for a long time. One woman came in with her 3 or 4 year old kid and was looking at clothes and dresses and such. The kid said "Mommy, I gotta go." "Just wait a minute, Mommy's busy." A few minutes later: "Mommy, I gotta go - Really!" This went on for about 20 minutes. Finally, whimpering, the kid went to the corner, dropped her pants and panties and peed on the floor. The mom yelled at her, yanked her up by the arm and slapped her exposed bottom. Before we could manage to call anyone, she dragged the kid out of the store, screaming.
I find it's usually the parents, not the kids, need to be spanked.

#66, if the OP is just a casual, staff from anywhere in the store have to clean. im a casual at my work, and usually am on the registers. if there is a spill, sometimes i need to clean it, or someone on the floor. not a lot of places have a janitor. if they do, they generally only come in once a week, like the one at my work.

That kids gunna grow up a teenage slacker and end up getting some girl pregnant. Then, he'll drop out of school to sell crack and support his kid. His wife will eventually run off with a guy she met at Chuck E. Cheese. I woulda slapped the bitch. I hate people thinking that just because you work there, their kid is your responsibility. You wouldn't believe how many times working in a PRODUCE DEPARTMENT I would be asked to watch kids, clean up after some guy let his kid spill/break something. Don't get me wrong, it is our job to clean stuff up, but when a guy is not watching his kid and he was running around knocking over bottles of juice, I just handing him a roll of paper towels and walked away. He was pissed, but he cleaned it up. Too many parents just plain suck today, why are they allowed to breed?
