Today, I received a mass email from my boss saying we had a position open at the daycare I work at. I knew my boyfriend was looking for a job so I insisted he apply. Later at work, my boss takes me into her office and tells me my employment is being "terminated". My boyfriend is replacing me. FML

I think this is a good thing. At least now your boyfriend has a job and will probably be getting paid the same amount and nothing will really change. At least some random person didn't get the job...

#4/8- I happen to like cooking and cleaning. Thank you very much. But are you trying to start a riot on sexism? It's so exasperating. And he probably will get paid more, but at least then he can buy the op expensive make up gifts. (Or if he's cheap, make up sex would suffice = P)

It's actually better that way. A relationship lives from the fact, that people don't know everything about each other. The less you see him over the day the better will it be.

That's terrible! If I were your boyfriend I wouldn't accept the job. I wouldn't feel right replacing my man at his job. I would feel pretty guilty. It's never really a good idea to work at the same place as a bf/gf or a spouse. Usually causes problems.

Ouch, I hope he didn't take the job. If I found out they fired my girl to hire me I would just say "no." It isn't a good idea to work together anyway, my ex and i worked together. It caused a lot of unneeded pressure in the relationship.
