OK, so quick english lesson. It is not ALWAYS going to be "my friends and I", it does not always work. A good way to try if it does work is by removing "my friend and" and seeing if I alone works. If it should be me, then write "my friends and me". Example: "a few water bottles for my friends and I for soccer practice".
By removing "my friends and" it now will look like "a few water bottles for I for soccer practice". That sounds very stupid. Therefore, "a few water bottles for my friends and me for soccer practice" is the correct wording. The over all structure is incorrect but I won't get into that, at least you now know how to use "my friends and I" and "my friends and me" correctly.
Congratulations, you have just been voted as geek of the day -.- Look where he's from. Give him a chance. Just because it's mainly Americans who post at this site, and the standard is high, you don't have to correct everyone. I wonder why the main part is americans though. On the other hand... being an american is a FML itself.

FYI: i wasn't making fun, or trying to be offensive. I was simply putting this out there because so often this error happens.

Well maybe not so much. It might hurt now but I doubt she like floored it, so I'm sure its not too bad :/ though it depends on the type of driver your mom is.
good to see your mum was aware of her surroundings
Who would vote YDI for this? cruel people. Ouch.

YDI for trying to give your brother a kiss..

You're lucky she didn't back up and run over your Fucking foot too!
The comments are as cruel as the car chunk that got his neck. XD; lol

This is such a badly written FML...I'm not entirely clear what actually hurts, by the way it is written, it seems it is the car...

What I think he means is he put his head through the window to kiss his little brother, then his mom moved the car. The opening of the window smashed into his neck.

YES!!! You are a shitty writer. SUCH A SHITTY WRITER. YDI for shitty writing.
I Would have wrote more to be more specific but the site doesn't allow that much words.
This is what happened:
"Imagine a car moving in front of the whole school with legs sticking out of the window..."
All My Friends laughed, my mom never knew, she never stopped, i was scared as fuck to speak so i just got half of my body out in time as she drove off. She then stopped the car & realized asap & asked if i was okay. I was like "o.O?!"
"Today I was leaning into the car to kiss my 2 year old brother goodbye. My mum hadn't noticed this and decided this would now be a good time to reverse. My body still hurts. FML"
Easy peasy.

Don't worry OP, it was perfectly understandable the way you wrote it, and I found the way you ended it very funny. People complaining are just whining for no good reason.
Simple amusement for simple minds...

That's for the torture you're going to put your little brother through on a daily basis.

how does she deserve it exactly?
That sucks. However, if you ever drive your brother somewhere, and your mother wants to kiss him goodbye....
You'll know what to do. REVENGE ROCKS!
lol
i was about to say that
That entire first sentence was uneccessary.
I can't snark on this. You're a teenage boy who kisses his little brother. That's beautiful. Most teenage boys are little villains towards their siblings, so I can only give you praise & a "at least you weren't decapitated".
Thanks Nice to Know, FYI I'm 16
Don't hate on teenage boys. I used to work at a psychiatric facility for boys with behavioral and emotional disorders, and most of the older guys were actually really good with the little guys, and made more of an effort to be good role models when the little ones were around. It's entirely possible that the width of the age-gap makes a difference, though (ie, there would be rivalry b/w a 16 and a 14 year old, but not between a 16 and a 6 year old).
Not that you're not special, OP!
Actually, letitbe56... I'm 13 and fight with my 6 year old sister all the time...
Dang.. I feel so mean...
FYL man, that sucks. Must hurt like a bitch.
Your mom is fucking crazy.
Make sure you aren't around her if she has a knife.
She'll decapitate you.
I think it's great that you aren't afraid to show your baby brother love. A lot of teen-aged boys wouldn't do that, especially in front of his friends. Your Mom should have been paying attention. She missed a cute moment with her sons, and could have hurt you even worse than she did.
Thanks, Nice to know that, FYI I'm 16.

47- Is that the "i am blue" song? I couldn't see the first comment you replied to lol..
What, how did my post break the rules?
We wish all comments to be written in English. Sorry about that!
Well since the site is in English, the majority of commenters would speak English. We want to make sure everyone can understand each other. It's really quite simple.
Well, with all due respect Ms. Moderator, that is a form of discrimination, so I can see why cefarix might be offended... I can see where you're coming from though, and I'm not trying to be an internet lawyer or anything like that.
I do not make the rules, and it is one all of us moderators have to follow. If a commenter is able to read the FML in English, they should be able to comment in English. We get enough abused the comments every day, so we draw the line there. Comments in other languages are always to be moderated.
I hope you guys understand. ;-)
Ouch man! Hahaha that is funny, but yeah, FYL. That sucks man, have your mom buy you a PS3, hehehe.
"(...) to give me some money and a few water bottles for my friends and I for soccer practice."
In this case, wouldn't you write "for my friends and me"?
Just wondering, because I make that mistake from time to time. :o
Yes, it should be "for my friends and me."
I don't understand why this is so confusing for kids these days. Do they not teach nominative and objective forms/usage in schools anymore?
Author says that he is from Palestinian Territory, thus most likely not a native speaker...
he's learnt english well enough to be taught the horribly wrong rule that saying me is usually wrong...
