"Today, I learned that I DONT REALLY CARE. FYL"
No. I KNOW you already realized it. Don't say you learned it, OP. You have to actually be mentally retarded to not know that already. "Today, I accidentally drank from the glass..." would be more appropriate. Also, YDI for letting a glass of milk sit for that long.
Today, I agreed with #11. FYL.
How is this even considered an FML?
"OMFG BAD MILK GOTTA GO QQ ON FML."
Lawl.
Why the fuck is there a week-old glass of milk on your table?
@66: Seconded
I won't let a glass of water sit in my room for more than a day. What kind of a slob leaves a glass of MILK out for a WEEK?
#69 - On 10/29/2009 at 7:57pm by Reyo
u should CLEAN YOUR HOUSE!
I think the "-ed" made it obvious.
But, then again, I consider myself literate. =P
what was a glass of milk doing there for a week?
EW!!! you deserve it, though... who leaves milk on their nightstand for a week?? That's just gross.
#4 - On 10/29/2009 at 10:00am by re2K5
Ya you figure it would have stunk or something! lol YDI
I have.
Also left a bottle of chocolate milk in my car.
When I dumped it out, it was lumpy and looked/smelled like vomit.
So what was the difference? How does babby get made? (sorry BSR)
They need to do way instain mother>
who kill thier babbys who can't frigth back?
Surely it would have curdled into a solid, lumpy, reeking mess by that point?
How did you fail to notice the difference?
(Sorry if you're blind and an anosmiac)
Exactly what I was thinking.. Not forgetting, the bad smell.
Btw, OP, I bet the rotten milk tasted like yoghurt :3
did you have to chew it
#7 - On 10/29/2009 at 10:09am by stephy_k22
i think you would've got seriously ill if this was true?
Do you get seriously ill if you eat yogurt? Or cheese?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermented_milk_products
Fermentation is very different from rotten milk. Unprocessed spoiled milk can give you food poisoning. It usually requires a large amount though.
I'm pretty sure the difference between fermentation and just plain spoiling is the kind of organism (in this case bacteria) that is introduced to cause the process. So yes, "different" but not "very different."
Doesn't it usually become solid by then if it's just sitting out?
YDI for leaving milk out. Ick :(
a week? wow. clean up your shit pile hovel of a cardboard box you live in.
I could have told you that.
That reminds me of something my sis did when she came back during spring break one year. She grabbed a container of OJ out of the fridge assuming that it was fresh and was rewarded with a nice glob of mold in her mouth. Yum! She gagged for a good portion of the day after that...
YDI, btw.
Why would you make chocolate milk then leave it on your night table next to your bed where you sleep every night for an entire week and not notice the smell or the fact that you never drank it and should ya know throw it out sooner or later unless you want it to become a cup full of rotten milk and fungus? And after a week of THAT chocolate milk just sitting there you decided you wanted chocolate milk again so you made yourself some more even though history has shown you'll forget about it then have another cup of milk slowly rotting next to your head every night?
where did you read it was chocolate milk?
If you´re not dead is not an FML......(j/k)
Who leaves milk out for a week? Pure filth so.. YDI.
OP, either you made this up or there is nothing inside of your skull. Did it really take you that long to figure out what that smell was? I should hope not.
ok it smelled bad right? What about the fact that the new glass would be cold/warm and the one sitting there was perfectly room temperature? I call fake. either that or your a moron and deserved it.
wait...who said the milk was chocolate???
Clean your damn room you pig. What are you, 12?
YDI.
YDI for being a whore!!
How do I know she is a whore? Sherlock Holmes on the case! The only way one can not notice a glass of milk on the night table for a week is if they haven't slept in their bed for 5 or 6 nights. She must have been bouncing from bed to bed while the milk was rotting, therefore, whore! Case closed.
OP, you couldn't have worded this FML any worse.
YDI for being a disgusting slob.
I can't believe a woman wrote this. Leaving a dirty dish sitting around for that long seems more like something a male would do. (No offense guys, but most of you are slobs. Deny all you want. "Us girls" know the truth. lol) So...the OP only states that "it's been sitting there for a week" but she doesn't specify as to whether or not she's the one who put that there. Perhaps she's married and her husband placed his glass there a week ago. She might have stubbornly refused to clean up after that slob of a man in hopes of him finally noticing and cleaning up after himself, only to mistake his old glass for her new one. Or...it's hers. If so...Damn OP, clean up after yourself! Y so totally DI.
well im assuming if she is married that there would be either 2 nightstands or at least 1 on only 1 side of the bed. i have never put anything on the other nightstand bc it isnt my side of the bed and its not convienent. unfortunately, i believe she left it there herself =(
Um...my ex-wife was the slob between the two of us and didn't clean worth a damn. I did all the cooking, cleaning, and other chores. There were numerous times I threatened to quit my job and become a house husband if the chore duties weren't going to be shared.
# 33 you clearly have not gotten laid in a while
Being a man I will have to agree with you!
Assuming that women are neat and tidy and men are slobs is actually pretty sexist. It doesn't paint either gender in a good light.
Even if it was her husband, no one leaves milk out for a week on PRINCIPLE. That's like a house being on fire and saying "I'm not going to put it out, it wasn't my fault."
By the way YDI, OP. A week? For serious?
Eww. Maybe you should've cleaned up the old glass of milk instead of leaving it on the table?! That's gross!
There's usually a smell difference, too. If your house reeks so bad you didn't notice, it's time to call the EPA.
YDI, for being a slob and not cleaning up after yourself!
Maybe if you cleaned your damn room once in awhile, you wouldn't have problems like that. (Y)

wtf what about that awful smell? do you hold your breath before every sip?
You definitely asked for it. My only question is, how could you not feel the lumps of curdled milk bacause after 3 weeks it would be somewhat solid!!
Ok, first of all, how could you waste a delicious glass of milk by leaving it out for a week? I'll admit I leave glasses out at times, but they're always empty...especially milk.
Definitely don't know how you missed the smell. When the milk in the carton is even slightly off, I can smell it. If it had been out for a week, that would reek so bad.
Oh, and Ive seen a cereal bowl in the sink for a week, and the milk def hardened.
You either can't see, have no sense of smell, or are just an idiot! YDI
Here's an idea: GET RID OF THE OLD GLASS OF MILK!
Lumpy old warm milk ftw! Mmmm.
Are you my old college roommate OP? She constantly left shit everywhere. One time she left a glass of milk out that she only took a few sips out of. Since the rest of us were sick of cleaning up after her, we left it sit on the coffee table until it started to smell really bad, and then we moved it to her room. I don't know what happened to it after that. It's probably still there.
So yes, women can be disgusting slobs, and they can even be adult disgusting slobs too.

HAHA. Sometimes slobs are just really THAT bad. My ex lived with a guy that refused to do his dishes. They got sick of cleaning up after him too so they took everything that was his and dirty and piled it onto his bed. My ex told me it stayed in his room for two weeks before they cornered him and MADE him clean. I said it in another comment, I'm not always the NEATEST person in the world - but being a disgusting slob like that? I mean you must really not care about yourself if you (you being the roommate, not YOU... or the OP in this case) are THAT careless about things around you.
I'm sure it's already been said but I'm too lazy to read.... YDI for leaving milk sitting by your bedside for three weeks.
It was for a week. Maybe it's best not to be fucking lazy and read for a chance.
Um, EWWWWWW. I mean, seriously - I'm not the neatest person in the world, I understand how sometimes you get involved in doing something and may even forget to grab that lone glass and throw it into the sink on the occassion - But MILK? For a WEEK?!?! Thats absolutely disgusting. How did you NOT smell it? Milk starts to smell and congeal after a day or two of being out.... UGH, I feel sick. Your apartment (or room) must be absolutely disgusting if you are careless enough to leave a glass of MILK out for a WEEK and not care. Y completely DI
How exactly could you leave a glass of milk sitting out for a week without smelling something nasty? Seriously, that is just disgusting! If I don't finish what I'm drinking or eating, I take it out to the kitchen and get rid of it so that it doesn't smell. Do you see cockroaches running around your house? I bet you do! Lazy ass.
ydi for being freakin' nasty. ew, who leaves a glass of milk there for that long?! it's one thing to leave maybe a glass of WATER there for a week, but MILK?! you know that crap stunk to high heaven and back...i say again...nasty.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA that made my day
If it was only 3 minutes, your new glass of milk would still be cold.
YDI for failing to notice.
Fake. Milk sitting that long solidifies, making it undrinkable. However, this depends on the temperature and environment in which said milk is left. Light and temperature and types of bacteria in the air would cause the biggest effects. But at room temperature w/o sunlight, that milk will go solid.

got a face full of foul yogurt!!! u fucking slob try cleaning and that wouldn't have happened
I do believe you need to clean up better (and more often) than you do. I'm waiting for the next FML from you that mentions something about getting an unpronounceable disease because of this.
after a week it would be all moldy and yogurty....you're a pig, clean your room
#70 - On 10/29/2009 at 8:44pm by patticake1601
EW. throw the old one out!!
This comment has been moderated.
There's a difference? Really? Ya think?
Get off your ass and do some cleaning you lazy slob.
I'm not a slob and something similar almost happened to me once. Haha nasty, fyl
ewww! people can be just so disgusting!
ydi for being a dirty pig, how can you leave a glass of MILK for a week on your table? fucking gross
You either made this up or you're one of the most disgusting people I've ever heard of. Seriously who leaves a glass of milk in your room for a WEEK?! YDI
That's seriously gross. :(
And wait... wouldn't you have taken a drink out of the other glass of milk (Assuming it was indeed yours) when you got it out a week before? If you picked it up wouldn't you feel the difference in the weight of the glasses? And if you had gotten a glass of milk out before, how can you forget about that? XD
slob.

YDI for being an unsanitary person.
Wouldnt you notice the MOLD and the SMELL before you drank it? I mean, after 3 days, the smell of curdling milk would have noticeable. YDI for being a immature slob. Good job.
ydi for leaving a glass if milk on your nightstand for a week
omg clean your fucking room. YDI
What kind of slob has a glass of milk on their night stand for a week?
wouldnt it be chunky and smell
