Man or woman?

Today, after a long workout I come back to my locker, to find my lock had been cut. I looked inside realizing my phone and ipod had been stolen. If that wasn't bad enough, my keys were gone. I ran out to the parking lot to find an empty spot where my car had once been parked. FML

With a name like Abdominates, I agree.

#17 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:39pm by thatwasobvious

You see, this is why we have things like POCKETS. What you do is you put stuff like your phone, ipod, and car keys in your POCKET, and the stuff stays with you ALL DAY. I keep such things in my POCKETS and guess how many times I've had my stuff stolen... yeah...never had any of those things stolen since they were all in my POCKET. And as far as pickPOCKETS go, I figure violently breaking into a locker is loads easier than sneaking in and out of someone's POCKETS.

YAY POCKETS!

EDIT: I even have workout shorts with POCKETS!

YAY POCKETS!

#30 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:08pm by Reyo

PS, before anyone yells at me, I'm not saying he deserved it. I can see why he would keep such things in his locker, but this could be the motivation he needs to keep things in his POCKETS maybe? His life is indeed fucked, but he can still learn from it. Hope you get your stuff back!

*fiddles with keys...which are in my POCKET!*
YAY POCKETS!

#31 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:13pm by Reyo

I see what you're saying, but what are the chances someone would go to the trouble of actually CUTTING A LOCK rather than just slipping one hand in and out of a pocket? It's not a hard thing to do when someone is distracted.

I think it was safer in his locker, and he just got unlucky...

#37 - On 10/23/2009 at 8:58pm by dumpweedx

Well, yeah, but he was working out. He doesn't want a bunch of shit in his pockets while he's doing that. I could understand your logic if he just put his stuff in an unlocked locker and left it, but he locked it, and someone cut the lock off and stole his stuff.

By your logic, it's like telling someone whose house has been burgled (love that word, by the way.) that it wouldn't have happened if they kept all of the stuff that had been stolen on them at all times.

#40 - On 10/23/2009 at 9:37pm by AndelleRae

You obviously don't work out hard enough, no way I could do my workouts with stuff in my pockets

#46 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:20pm by youreanidiot

*walks by Reyo with head down*
*Subtly takes all the things in his pocket*

Oh, sorry Reyo, you should have kept this in your LOCKER...

....See what I mean?

#49 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:41pm by Ohnothingreally

anyone saying YDI and that he should keep stuff in his pockets...what kind of weak ass workouts are you guys doing? my gym doesnt have lockers, so i HAVE TO keep my shit in my pockets, everything constantly falls out and when it isnt, im having to take them out anyway because theyre causing issues. so far ive left my car keys, phone and house keys there several times. lucky for me our gym is small so itd be easy to trace whoever took it if they did. sucks that you guys need to exercise with untrustworthy assholes tho.
i think we can safely assume anyone who said YDI doesnt actually go to any gym.

#56 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:16am by organisedchaos

Reyo... what you just said makes me think that you probably haven't ever had a really hard workout. All that crap in your pockets gets really annoying and can decrease your mobility/scratch the crap out of your legs.

#66 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:01pm by tarheel22893

@ #30, ya because when i go to the gym i wear my shorts with POCKETS which are so open then any form of running would make my expensive ipod and cell phone fall out of my POCKETS and break. i love having to carry around electronics which get covered in my sweat which is soooo good for them in my POCKETS. and in case you dont already know, many gyms have swimming pools. so i will just take my phone, ipod, and keys in my POCKETS and swim. maybe when i do sit-ups, hopefully that movement around my wasteline won't cause my electronics to fall out of my POCKETS leaving them out in the open.

YAAAY POCKETS for solving all of my workout needs.

and YAAAY gym lockers for being completely useless when i have my perfectly impractical POCKETS to use!!

you are so fucking stupid

#80 - On 10/26/2009 at 12:38am by stone_light

i also love your "guess how many times I've had my stuff stolen... yeah...never had any of those things stolen since they were all in my POCKET." it reminded me of this hilarious video which said, "since i have never been murdered, i guess that makes me an expert on how not to get murdered" (replace "murdered" with "robbed" and that's basically what you're saying)

youre just so incredibly stupid its unbelieveable

#81 - On 10/26/2009 at 12:53am by stone_light

Woah. Sucks to be you, man.
Were you insured on the car, at least?

#2 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:09pm by OverEnthusiast

At least you LOOK like you could kick the thief's ass!

#5 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:12pm by perdix

im sorry. can i help you find them?

#6 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:14pm by lakeoh

Jesus Christ, I'm sorry. I hope the police report turns something up, or that the phone/iPod gets used and lets them know where the thief is.

#7 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:18pm by pope_suburban

No kidding. Track that bitch!

Use those new muscles you just worked up to hunt down the thief and kick his arse. Hell yeah!

#13 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:24pm by Witchcraft

When you pump your muscles a lot, they get engorged with blood and appear large, but they cannot deliver useful potency until they heal.

This applies only to skeletal muscles.

#16 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:28pm by perdix

Mmm, engorged.

#20 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:53pm by Witchcraft

16 is right, the best time to kick a big guys ass is just after his workout :D

#57 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:49am by organisedchaos

Wow, this is horrible...I hope the police can track someone down. Good luck :/

#14 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:25pm by alirson

Can you sue the gym for negligence? Maybe look into it. Also, IANAL.

#15 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:25pm by jcrook

Most gyms have signs up that say "Use lockers at your own risk" It's not the gym's fault someone brings things in.

#34 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:34pm by TheTruth1428

Hope it was you Justin, you racist sh*t

#18 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:43pm by feckless

Report it stolen ASAP. have your friend drive you around the area, odds are who ever stole it probably dumped it some where near by. the longer someone has a stolen car, the higher the chance they have of being caught

#19 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:52pm by fhgoalie

UM... why would your Ipod be in your locker when you were working out? Don't most people bring Ipods to listen to them when they're working out? Just saying.

#21 - On 10/23/2009 at 5:57pm by fYOURlife1989

He might have had it set up to play in his car on the way there, or something, and probably didn't feel comfortable leaving it there.

#63 - On 10/24/2009 at 11:50am by Tequilamockngbrd

Just curious why you weren't listening to your iPod while working out?

#22 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:08pm by ragsy

YDI for owning keys.

#23 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:23pm by hazardharry

Welcome to Canada eh? At least you can get a nice cardio workout while you run home

#24 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:25pm by donkey_hang_down

That sucks. That's why I don't even bother to bring my phone to the gyms, and I keep my iPod and keys on me. Well if the guy is dumb enough to keep driving the car the cops can nab him with all the stuff, otherwise FYL.

#25 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:27pm by EdMcK515

now this is an FMl.

#26 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:28pm by thatonekid2010

Truth.
This guy's life FTW.

That blows so much harder than my day. Sorry, guy.

#27 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:42pm by wonderscore

I hope you were aware of who was around you when you locked up your stuff. I assume the thief knew which car your keys go with.

#28 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:44pm by TheTragicReturn

If it had a panic button, the thief just turns it on for a second, sees where the car is, gets in and drives away.

#36 - On 10/23/2009 at 8:44pm by letitbe56

how could people say you deserved it?

#29 - On 10/23/2009 at 6:57pm by ellie_dreams

LOL lie right here then how did u write this FML

#32 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:15pm by mikes45

With his unstolen computer that wasn't even in the FML?

#43 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:11pm by dancingdoggy

Seems a little fake to me. Seems you just tossed a ton of horrible things together and hoped it got on FML.

#33 - On 10/23/2009 at 7:32pm by TheTruth1428

Right, because only one mild bad thing can happen to a person at a single moment.

#35 - On 10/23/2009 at 8:33pm by TheLetterZero

gee that sucks
but thats why we have pockets

#38 - On 10/23/2009 at 9:21pm by Les_Paul_Player

why would u put all your valuables on ur locker? still, that sucks and to all those who say ydi they're just being asses that are upset that their life is so damn perfect they have nothing fmlworthy

#39 - On 10/23/2009 at 9:34pm by bubblylovr

Find 'em. Slice 'em. Done.

#42 - On 10/23/2009 at 9:54pm by PurpDOODE

And because you do, logically, everyone else must do it too.

#48 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:39pm by breytn

His computer obviously wasn't in his locker or car, dumbass. It was probably at his house where computer's belong. And a lot of people use desktops, which you don't carry around with you. Ugh.

#47 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:39pm by safirekatt

pockets? seriously? you guys are dumb fucks.

#50 - On 10/23/2009 at 10:49pm by Superawesomestev

well obviously someone who knows you did it

#51 - On 10/23/2009 at 11:02pm by KiddNYC10

Wow. Nothing to say except good luck. And I mean that sincerely, that really sucks for you.

#52 - On 10/23/2009 at 11:13pm by Pointy130

well...shouldn't be too hard for the police to find a car...but WTF would you leave your keys in your locker in the first place?

#53 - On 10/24/2009 at 12:04am by _THE_MASTER_

OR maybe you keep your ipod and phone in your car and keep you keys in your POCKETS (AND BEFORE ANYONE BITCHES) it is only keys, not a brick. So no one can steal your ipod and phone because they need your keys and those are in your POCKETS!
*cracks knuckles and admires work*

#54 - On 10/24/2009 at 12:33am by guy_whos_sad

...you think its a..."good" idea to leave your ipod and phone in an unmonitored vehicle...:| well congrats to any thief that breaks into your car, he just struck gold, i bet you keep your life savings and credit cards in there too dontcha?

and keys...yes, when youre supporting 40kg on your leg they hurt like a bitch. and they drop out anytime you do anything requiring your legs to suspend above you, and most of the time when you lay down too, and given that theres music playing and loud noise in most gyms you may not even notice, then they dont even need bolt cutters, just to come past, grab your keys and hey youve already left them an awesome stash of goodies for when they drive off in what was once your car.

have i made my point yet or do you still think leaving valuable items in an unattended car is a good idea...

#59 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:55am by organisedchaos

Who wants to work out with their keys flopping around in their pockets?
Imagine sitting on those suckers while lifting weights. :/

#61 - On 10/24/2009 at 5:51am by Witchcraft

have done. it sucks. ruined a few sets because of them :(

#62 - On 10/24/2009 at 5:57am by organisedchaos

Do you now have key-shaped imprints in your thigh?

#64 - On 10/24/2009 at 1:40pm by Witchcraft

nope, disappointing i know. i did manage to pierce skin once and some bruising, but that was cos i was finishing a set of db inclines and did my usual drop the weight onto my legs post set and insta-pain :(

#65 - On 10/24/2009 at 2:26pm by organisedchaos

That key-shape would have been one bad-arse scar!

Dropping weights onto your leg? I'd imagine that would have to hurt. However, you easily use it to your advantage. Sneakily show it to a pretty girl, and work in how you were injured during your workout. Instant swoon!

#68 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:58pm by Witchcraft

lol the problem was more that the key was pointing toward my leg...so it was more of a line than a key shape :P but i agree, thatd be an awesome scar lol
its not so much dropping as just a controlled fall...lol your arms support the dumbells enough not to do any damage and because of the short distance not much momentum is gained so usually its just a dull knock, rather than a stabbing painful hell.
...girls dont go to my gym :( but the one i did it at they did go to...DAMN should have used the key to my advantage.
"check this out, pretty sweet huh?"
"oh howd u do that?"
"dropped dumbells on my legs and my keys stabbed me, manly i know."
"..."
"...:D"
"...were you a special needs child?"
:(

yeh maybe it wouldnt work out that well after all.

#71 - On 10/24/2009 at 8:06pm by organisedchaos

Did it throb, or was it a steady dull pain for the rest of the day? D:

Too bad, the heat from the swooning and orgasming at the sight of a manly injury would turn the gym into a sauna. BUT you're right, maybe you, erm, shouldn't really explain exactly how you got the injuries. :D

But maybe you'd get pity sex, right? Make 'em put out! :D

#79 - On 10/25/2009 at 3:28pm by Witchcraft

wow, i hope you're not from mount royal in calgary.. i use those lockers all the time..

#55 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:00am by wubwubs

you must be from sherwood park.. haha

#58 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:52am by etchasketchy

that totally sucks, and whoever is saying ydi is an idiot. you cannot work out with pockets full of ipods and phones and keys. anyone would imagine a locked locker would be a safe place for your things... they wouldn't understand that though as they can walk around with things in their pockets since they don't work out. :]

#60 - On 10/24/2009 at 5:11am by MeganM88

if dey ztole ur fone n iPod how u uzing diz app?

#67 - On 10/24/2009 at 3:32pm by TwistedMind93

wow. computers still exist, you know.

some people are so dumb, it hurts.

#69 - On 10/24/2009 at 4:48pm by papertigers

Did you really go out of your way to misspell everything?

"Ztole", really?

#70 - On 10/24/2009 at 7:21pm by Witchcraft

Haha wow, I leave my stuff in an unlocked locker at the gym when I'm working out and have never had this happen. Of course, the only thing worth anything at all that I take is my phone.

#72 - On 10/24/2009 at 10:35pm by Kuroftw

Unlikely he know that which car was yours...

#75 - On 10/25/2009 at 8:28am by pointerdog

There is a reason why you wouldn't bring your ipod with u while working out , right? And your phone i mean seriously...

#76 - On 10/25/2009 at 10:25am by icantellu

ALL YOU NERDS STFU!
YOU'VE ALL OBVIOUSLY NEVER BEEN TO THE GYM! SO YOU CANT HIDE IN FRONT OF YOUR COMPUTER AND SILENTLY LAUGH AND PEOPLE'S MISFORTUNES. IT WAS NOT THIS GUYS FAULT! WORK OUT SHORTS DO NOT HAVE POCKETS! AND IF YOU THINK HE WENT IN HIS JEANS, YOU ARE FUCKIN RETARDED! I BET TWENTY DOLLARS THAT IF YOU STEPPED OUTSIDE YOU WOULD FUCKIN BURN TO DEATH! SO DON'T SAY SHIT!

#77 - On 10/25/2009 at 10:37am by bakerfield

MY COMMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT'S IN ALL CAPS!

#83 - On 10/26/2009 at 4:59pm by Witchcraft

It seems pretty stupid that that thief stole your car... unlike everything else, stealing a car can lead to Jail time and can be easily tracked down by the police. It seems unlikely that anyone would be so stupid.

#78 - On 10/25/2009 at 12:46pm by zapolisk

Irony is now also one of the leading causes of FML's, next to EPIC FAILURE, Karma, and the Swine Flu :D

#82 - On 10/26/2009 at 2:27am by EveryDayJackAss

This is why I have my phone and ipod with me while I workout.

#86 - On 02/15/2010 at 7:19pm by capgray
