Today, I went to the doctors and was told I would need an inhaler. My mom came back from the pharmacy and told me the copay of $35 dollars was way too expensive, so she is making me use my cat's old inhaler. My mom values my cat's ability to breathe more then my own. FML

Tell the vet and the doctor immediately. There is no way in hell the type of medicine and dosage calibrated for a small animal are going to help you in an emergency. $35? I'm sure there are other bills to pay, but if you're lungs close up on you there is a good chance you'll die.

I've been living with asthma since I was a kid. You want quality medicine on hand. And anyone who claims it's not a serious disease has no idea what they are talking about, to put it politely.
