Today, I drove my husband's car to the mall because my car was in the shop. The bumper was being repaired because I got rear ended while stopped at a traffic light. While stopped at the same intersection I got rear ended again. FML

OP never said both accidents were on the same day, just that she got hit twice at the same intersection. maybe the light sits just around a corner which makes it hard for people to see or something. though i am reminded of dane cook: "WHY DID YOU STOP AT A LEGAL RED LIGHT, AND LET ME HIT YOU DOING 80?!?!"

Unless it's a freak coincidence (which it just might be), then likely, you're doing something to help facilitate these accidents, such as braking hard, changing speeds constantly, or not using your turn signals to switch lanes.
Or maybe just blame the intersection.

(+1)it's the responsibility of the driver behind her to be in control of their vehicle and be aware of the light. even if she stopped fairly short, they should be leaving plenty of space between her car and theirs. she's just unlucky. also, this is more of just a minor inconvenience because the other diver's insurance should pay to have your bumper fixed. so there.

(0)People, it's a freaking traffic light, you don't need to wait for the car in front of you to stop before you start to brake. Braking suddenly does nothing. Even if she did brake suddenly, it's still the other idiot's fault. Not to mention it says "while stopped," not "while stopping".

(0)Reminds me of when my car was hit in a parking lot while I was in class, which pushed it out into the aisle of the garage, which got me a parking ticket. Then when I was on the way home from the body shop after getting it fixed someone t-boned me backing out of their driveway by just putting their car in neutral so the reverse lights didn't come on. I hate cars.

seriously though.its always the rear-enders fault.at least in court anyways.and by the time it would take her to break(even if she slammed on them) the person behind her should be paying attention regardless and as soon as the OPs breaks came on they should have been braking as well.besides, you are supposed to keep one cars distance, so there would have been plenty of time for the rear-ender to break.
