Today, my band played its first real gig. It was going well, and I, the vocalist, thought it would be a good idea to stage dive. I underestimated the distance between the stage and the crowd and crashed into the floor. FML

Your first real gig and you expected for a crowd to even catch you had you actually landed in the correct spot? No first-time gigs ever have that many fans. :U either way you would've landed on the floor.

Stagediving is rarely a good idea. Even if the crowd does catch you and pass you around like a human sacrifice, you'll get violated more times than you can count.
But maybe you like that. I don't know.

Stage diving is soooo 1994. It was one many, many things to come out of the 90's that sucked major balls.
F anyones L who does this, enjoys watching this, or likes to catch talentless freaks who jump....

This reminds me of the time Pete Wentz tried to stage dive, except apparantly nobody wanted to catch him and he hit the cement floor and broke his arm. Ha ha ha. I dislike him so that made me happy to think about.
that reminds me of when i was at warp tour a few weeks ago all time low was playing and this guy from the back of the stage he was going to jump in the crowd but at the last second caught his foot on the edge and face planted on cement

that's what steven tyler (aerosmith) did a few weeks ago!!!!!!!! well kinda. he fell off the stage and tried to make it look like he was going stagediving but he landed between the stage and the railing holding the crowd back. everybody thought it was part of the show because he kept performing but now everyone knows it was a total accident and he almost got hurt but didn't.

I'm a vocalist too. You should first see HOW the crowd is behaving. Are they even interested? Besides, stage diving on the first show will just make your image as a wannabe :|
